Este couldn't ask for Moore.  Buck Britton just sounds like the name of a hero.  A hit for Wilkin Ramirez as a reserve.

ESCOGIDO 6, LICEY 3 IN LICEY

Twins:  Deibinson Romero was used as a reserve by Escogido and went 0-for-1.

Escogido:  Buck Britton (Baltimore) was 1-for-5 with a two-run homer.  Corey Brown (Boston) was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run.  Edward Valdez pitched five innings, giving up two runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Licey:  Darin Ruf (Philadelphia) was 2-for-3 with a home run.  Elmer Reyes was 2-for-5 with a double.  Manny Delcarmen (Washington) pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

The game:  Leading 2-1 after three, Escogido scored four in the fourth to take control of the game.  Britton hit a two-run homer in the inning.

ESTE 9, ORIENTE 4 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Wilkin Ramirez was used as a reserve by Este and went 1-for-1.

Este:  Tyler Moore (Washington) was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, scoring twice and driving in three.  Yasmani Grandal (San Diego) was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, scoring once and driving in two.  Claudio Vargas pitched three shutout innings, giving up two hits.

Oriente:  Alex Valdez was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Austin Wates (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run.  Evan MacLane pitched five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

The game:  Oriente scored four in the third to take a 4-2 lead, which they held through seven.  Este got two in the eighth to tie it and scored five in the ninth to win.  Teoscar Hernandez (Houston) and Moore each hit a two-run homer in the inning.
