MESA 4, SALT RIVER 2 IN SALT RIVER (10 INNINGS)
Twins: Eddie Rosario was 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Max Kepler was 0-for-4. Zack Jones pitched a scoreless inning with one strikeout.
Mesa: Kaleb Cowart (Angels) was 2-for-4 with a run. Boog Powell (Oakland) was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Sean Nolin (Toronto) pitched four innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
Salt River: Brandon Drury (Arizona) was 2-for-5 with a home run, his third. Evar Marzilli (Arizona) was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run. Mark Appel (Houston) pitched five shutout innings, allowing one hit and no walks with four strikeouts.
The game: Rosario's sacrifice fly put Salt River up 2-1 in the eighth, but Spencer Kieboom (Washington) singled in the tying run with one out in the ninth. Two singles, a stolen base, and a pair of productive outs plated two in the tenth to give Mesa the win.
PEORIA 5, SCOTTSDALE 3 IN PEORIA
Scottsdale: Elias Diaz (Pittsburgh) was 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Josh Bell (Pittsburgh) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Jake Kuebler (Mets) struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
Peoria: Francisco Lindor (Cleveland) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one. Jacob Wilson (St. Louis) was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks, scoring twice.
The game: A pair of bases-loaded walks led to a three-run sixth that put Peoria up 5-1. Scottsdale got two back in the seventh but never got the tying run on base.
SURPRISE 6, GLENDALE 3 IN GLENDALE
Surprise: Michael De Leon (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Kyle Waldrop (Cincinnati) was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer (his second) and a walk, scoring twice. Matt Anderson (Seattle) struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.
Glendale: Garabez Rosa (Baltimore) was 1-for-4 with a home run, his third. Hector Gomez (Milwaukee) was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Michael Strong (Milwaukee) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing only a walk.
The game: Glendale led 3-2 after six, but De Leon doubled in two in the seventh and Waldrop hit a two-run homer in the eighth to give Surprise the victory. Glendale got the tying run up to bat with one out in the eighth, but a double play ended the inning.
