OBREGON 6, MEXICALI 3 IN MEXICALI

Obregon:  Jake Smolinski (Texas) was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Christian Villanueva (Cubs) was 1-for-3 with a home run (his second), scoring twice.  Sergio Mora pitched four innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts.

Mexicali:  Xorge Carrillo (Mets) was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer (his fourth), a double, and a walk.  Dave Sappelt was 1-for-3 with a home run and two walks.  Francisco Rodriguez pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.

The game:  Mexicali got one in the third, but Obregon scored two in the fifth, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh to take control of the game.  A two-run single by Said Gutierrez brought home the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth.
