Twins: Chris Parmelee was 1-for-4 for Licey.
Licey: Diory Hernandez was 3-for-4 with a home run (his second) and a double, driving in two. Jhonatan Solano (Washington) was 1-for-3 with a home run, his second. Ramon Ortiz pitched six shutout innings, giving up four hits and no walks with four strikeouts.
Oriente: Aneury Tavarez (Boston) was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jordany Valdespin (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a run. Kelvin Perez pitched a scoreless inning, allowing no hits and no walks.
The game: Hernandez doubled in a run in the first and Licey led the rest of the game. They went on to score single runs in the fifth, sixth, and eighth, with the lone Oriente run coming in the seventh.
ESTE 8, AGUILAS 5 IN AGUILAS
Este: Wilkin Ramirez was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two. Tyler Moore (Washington) was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer (his sixth) and a double. Elih Villaneuva (Miami) struck out seven in five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and no walks.
Aguilas: Jonathan Villar (Houston) was 3-for-4 with two home runs and three runs. Rafael Ynoa (Colorado) was 3-for-5 with a double. Sugar Ray Marimon (Atlanta) pitched five innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts.
The game: Moore's three-run homer with none out in the first gave Este a lead it would not relinquish. The lead was down to 3-2 after five, but a three-run sixth put Este in control of the game.
