Me too.
Also nervous that I may get blacked out. Watching on my wife's iPad via xfinity as we're in the Dells. NBCSN is unavailable and FSN isn't a live option. May head to a sports bar to find it.
Also, the Dells is like Vegas for children...not sure if I'll even be able to distinguish a sports bar with all the neon lights.
I was just typing out that so far this is better only in that the Wild aren't behind.
So much for that. They can show up whenever.
OK. We'll take it.
Well, that period could have gone better, but it could have gone much, much worse.
Uh huh
Great saves so far this period
I'm still nervous about this one.
yeah the Blues are still dominating
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL
I'm less nervous now
Only just.
whew.
Yeah. Now there's some exhaling, importantly followed by some inhaling.
So, there have been as many shots on Dubnyk this game as there were last game.
He's stopped five more of them this time around.
A bounce our way off a skate in front.
As the Worthington coach told his team during the VFW baseball section playoffs 15 years ago:
"Don't let up on them! they wouldn't let up on you!"
Point to game four. Make it 7-1.
Also, don't stop to think of how impossible it is that we're winning, much less by two goals, given how thoroughly STL had us on our heels in the first period.
To be honest, still nervous.
Obviously. I still remember Wednesday just fine.
4 power play goals in this series for Minnesota (one in the empty net).
Raise your hand if you saw that coming.
Put your hand down, you liar.
To be honest, I was convinced the PP would be their undoing. Doesn't mean it can't still be, but I've been pretty impressed with how much better it's been.
Also, following hockey via the interwebz rather than watching sucks.
Also, also ... still nervous too.
I don't know if people saw this, but because the Rangers/Penguins series is over, the Wild get the afternoon slot for Game 6.
Game 6 is Sunday @ 2 PM Central, on NBC
Thanks for the head-up; I hadn't seen that.
Going from 1-0 St. Louis to 2-1 Minnesota was the first lead change of the series, I believe.
Heck. 1-1 was the first time in the series there was a tie score that wasn't 0-0.
Oof. Got to get the puck out and get off the ice.
the whole "let them try and score for 20 minutes" strategy is not my favorite.
It would cer ainly seem that we've got "good Dubnyk" tonight.
It makes a difference.
How many times does a Blue have to slash or blindside somebody before they get called?
You would think that they wouldn't have any "gimme" space left.
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAL
That should do it!
COYLE!!
Boy, this has to frustrate the Blues to no end.
*breathing like a fairly normal human*
Of course this is the game I can't watch. Of course it is.
I feel like the Wild played better in games 1, 2, and 3.
Hopefully that means they can focus on improving for game 6 and won't take their foot off the gas.
I agree...it's just...well, it's just that I dislike missing post season wins by Minnesota franchises.
33-19.
Of course the team that'sosing by 14 shots has a three goal lead.
When the Wild have had a chance to win a playoff series, they are 3-0 all time (all three in games 7).
Me too.
