Ides of May and I haven't had any inspiration to seek out new music for a summer mix.

I didn't have time to weigh in last Friday, but DBT did a great acoustic set at First Ave. two weeks ago. It was completely different from their show a year ago. Ultimately, I think I prefer the plugged in version, but it was well worth it to see a different side. Personal highlights include a cover of "Benny and the Jets" and my brother in law asking "why isn't Can of Corn here?"
Three bands the same.
Not surprising. I would guess that about half of my present music catalog has come from checking out bands discussed here. Even more if you count finding music because it is similar to bands discussed at WGOM.
I was pretty disappointed I couldn't get it to work out...an acoustic set of DBT sounds right up my alley.
Also, great list.
01. “Everything Worthwhile” – Walt Mink – El Producto
02. “Ooby Dooby”- Roy Orbison – Black & White Night
03. “Balloon” – Hanne Hukkelberg – Little Things

06. “White Riot” – The Clash – The Clash

08. “Crystal Silence” – Chick Corea – Return To Forever
09. “Nomadic Revery (All Around)” – Bonnie “Prince” Billy – I See A Darkness
10. “Smile Please” – Stevie Wonder – Fufillingness’ First Finale
This is a weird list of things I pretty much never listen to anymore.

Thee Oh Sees have a new album coming out, which I believe is their 5th new album in the last 3 months. Or maybe it just seems that way.
No complaints from me, I'll soak up everything they want to drop. I love Thee Oh Sees!
