    1. High scoring, but not a roller coaster?

Speaking of, I went to a Mallards game last night and was treated to Madison having a 10 run this inning that includes two grand slams. It did make the game take forever though.

  1. Why doesnt the home plat ump check with the first base ump on a check swing? Dozier wasnt even close to crossing the plate on that swing

  2. That's been a big problem this year. I've heard a lot of complaints on check swings being called by home plate umps and not just in Twins games.

  3. Seems a shame to waste a rare thing like a Suzuki homer in a game where we're getting blown out.

    1. Think he's called up before September 1, after, or not at all? I'm thinking after the Red Wings season is over Berrios will be up.

  4. Maybe the way to look at this is that we're more than two-thirds of the way through the season, and the Twins are still at .500. If someone had told us that at the beginning of the season, we'd have been pleased.

  5. Why is O'Rourke facing righties? I get Santana because he always has the platoon advantage but Gomes is a righty.

  6. Nine relievers and we're talking about bringing in a position player to pitch?? Not that I don't love watching such a thing, but that's RIDICULOUS.

  7. I'm glad they didn't bring in a position player to pitch here. I love when it happens, but for crying out loud...there are nine pitchers in the bullpen

  8. random: Kyle Lohse has been around so long, he was involved in a trade for Rick Aguilera.
