Nice refresher story on how the Twins got Mr. Sano.
I just watched highlights from last night. Hunter needs to come down with an "injury" (note: I don't mean an actual injury) and be shut down with Buxton playing every day.
That was a pretty sweet win last night. With all the attention that Sano and Buxton are getting, Rosario's been a little overshadowed but he's been pretty clutch for a rookie this year. Also, the wife and I went to the State Fair on Friday and I picked up a beauty Sano t-shirt at Fan HQ (under the grandstand), just $5 with a coupon from the book (or got 3 of them for $15 like I did).
Nice. What is the coupon book of which you speak?
So far this year Shelby Miller has a 4.0 wins above replacement while notching five wins. I checked to see if any starting pitcher has had more wins above replacement than actual wins. The answer is no, though Pedro and Schilling came close among others.
While doing this research, I found the highest wins above replacement for a pitcher who did not start a single game. It would be Goose with an 8.2 one year. Wow
Dellin Betances has the 10th highest rWAR among pitchers in the AL this year (with 3.3). I wonder when the last time a relief pitcher cracked the top 10 in his league?
In my historic OOTP league, I abused the crap out of Goose Gossage in 1984:
81 games
178 innings
14-6 with 31 saves
League leading 220 strikeouts
I'm watching FIBA Eurobasket today. The basketball is pretty crappy, but it's fun.also, future Wolf Bejilca is in this thing, although I haven't watched one of Serbia's games yet. If you're starving for basketball, it's all on ESPN3.
And Iceland (!) is currently ahead of Italy in the first half.
This has been a trying brew day. I'm trying to make a simple amber ale (although I added a bit too much black malt so it's looking strongly brownish). During the mash, my son pulled the valve off of the cooler, so wort ran out all over. I tried to replace what came out, but could only guess as to how much. Then, when I started to sparge, the hose came off my sparge head and started running right into the batch. Who knows what will happen when I go outside in this heat to boil.

Any ideas why, for the last few days, Webroot has been trying to keep me from visiting this site, and forcing me to jump through hoops to unblock it every time?

No. What does it say is the problem?
I see there are fantasy football drafts tonight.
