  1. Fan reaches over and just grabs a fair ball when it hits the stands. His obliviousness about it might have been for the best. Scioscia came out to argue about it, presumably thinking the runner on first could have scored without the interference. He might be right.

    1. Eddie's 14th triple of the season, tying himself with Guzman, Guzman, and Knoblauch for 3rd all-time for the Twins in a season. Behind Carew (16) and Guzman (20).

    1. It's not the first time an ump has miss -called a foul ball involving Joe Mauer.

      Probably won't be the last.

    1. Most of Fien's pitches were on the outside, so yeah, makes sense. It was a cut fastball, but it didn't bite that much.

  2. Can't imagine Heaney would be pulled here if Plouffe or Hunter were batting cleanup. And it wasn't that long ago that the Yankees brought in a lefty after Mauer to face Sano because he had reverse splits in SSS.

  3. It could be because I just got MLB.TV for the end of the season, but I've seen entirely too many Twins throw out at the plate this week.

  4. You can't take Fien out already can you? If we use May now, then if we go extras, we're screwed with our depth (assuming you use May in the 8th and Jepsen in the 9th.)

  5. Why does it seem like every extra inning game the opposing team sticks with relievers that are pitching well and the Twins don't. I really wish we had used Fien in the 8th since he was already in there.

  6. Angels empty their bench to bring in pinch runners and then those bench players come up and the Twins go error, wild pitch, walk, bunt, and FC (should be error) to take the lead. They're just falling apart now.

  7. Why have Rosario bunt? I could see doing that with Suzuki, Buxton, etc, but Rosario's had some power. I don't think bunting is something you want to reduce Rosario to.

  8. Albert Pujols breaks an 0-25 streak with a single through the infield. He asked for the ball, and they sent it to the dugout. hhahahahah

  9. Tonight on the grill: Grass fed and finished locally produced NY strip steaks, pom frites, and a big green salad. I'm about to crack into a Le Freak.

    1. Mmm, LeFreak.

I made buttermilk fried chicken strips with (frozen, it's just me and the kids today) fries. Washed it down with Fulton Sweet Child of Vine which is recently available in the area.

        1. I can't decide if it's awesome for a wasteland to turn into a beer town or of it sucks that it did so after leaving.

          1. Wasteland? Now, bro, I know you ain't messing with the 'burque. I'm just going to assume you meant Ft. Collins.

            1. I meant no offense, just hyperbole. I spent many of my best years in what I would call a wasteland only to see it blossom after I moved to the best city in America.

              1. Was joak. Abq wasn't much when we lived there, though Marble Brewery opened, and a few interesting restaurants followed. The beer 'splosion was a happy development.

      1. Grilled cheese-n-turkey sammiches and a Ballast Point something or other. Assuming this large Margarita I just finished doesn't tell me otherwise.

          1. It whispered. But I made the sammies anyway. Turkey, cambozola, pepperonchini, dijon, and mayo. Mmmmm.

      1. When they boMauer crowd finally gets their way and Mauer is dumped for peanuts, then they will be whining because Mauer is hitting like .330 for the Red Sox, just like David Ortiz.

        1. I get that he's not what he was the year the Twins signed him, but he's better than most MN fans acknowledge. If he ever waives that no trade clause, I'll enjoy every moment that he confounds his hometown detractors as he succeeds on a new team.

  10. The LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Angles have 130 people on their roster, why the hell is Richards still out there?

  11. Alright boyos, it was a good season, and there will be some exciting baseball in the next couple of weeks. If the local squad makes the play offs I'll be surprised, and delighted, but I'm not going to hang any of my hopes.

  12. This season kind of feels like the 2001 season (no expectations, a bunch of youngish players coming up) except this year the free fall happened in September not August
