  1. A former coworker friend of mine from years back (and a Red Sox fan) noted the following ballplayers from yesterday's game:
    Buddy Boshers
    Brennan Boesch
    Bryce Brentz
    Byron Buxton
    Buck Britton

    1. Bobby Bonilla, Barry Bonds, Buddy Bell...

All great for Scattergories, though my favorite trick up my sleeve is for TV Show when the letter "T" pops up and I can pull out "To Tell The Truth" for four points.

          1. I don't recall if it's official rules, but I thought that if you can get an article in there with the letter it does.

      1. yes, lots of B.B. players, but these were all in the same game.

I got a tickle last night out of hearing a hospitalized Miss Piggy, who'd been hitting the morphine drip a bit too heavily, thanked their musical guest Willie Wilson.

    1. Any idea of the FSN North app will have it? If not, no worries, I can check when I get home.

      1. That is a good question. I didn't see anything about streaming on the FSN website.

  2. So yesterday I went down to the laundry room, and there was a nervous chipmunk running back and forth along the pipes in the ceiling. It was freaky, as I was first trying to ascertain what kind of varmint I was dealing with. Glad to see it wasn't a rat...

So, I'm guess it got in thru some crack/dryer vent/suchat that it will not be going back out thru. Luckily NBBW is on a work trip - she would have totally freaked out.

I went out to the garage and found a scap net I use when blue-crabbing - back to the basement, careful to close the door that leads from the basement to floor 1. I tried to sweep it off the pipes, and it finally scampered to the floor from the laundry room into the man-space, hiding amongst my beer-making stuff and Ikea wine racks. I tried to chase it down but it hid somewhere, and I had to go back upstairs for a work call.

An hour later I came back downstairs and found it running amok in the boiler room - lot of open space. I was able to catch it in my net, but it escaped somehow (maybe netting too wide). It flew down the hallway back to the man-space. We have a storm-cellar type staircase from the basement with large iron doors - I opened that up and left the door open (even with cold air pouring in), and fingers crossed, went back up to work.

An hour later I came back downstairs and moved things around the beer room - no sign of chipmunk. Either 1) I inflicted serious damage with the net and it gave up the ghost, or 2) it went up the staircase and out the external basement doors. I hope 2.

  3. Getting stuff together to head to the airport tomorrow, and it looks like my earbuds got laundered. Still sound find, although I'm trying to tell myself that they aren't quieter than they usually are.

  4. Leaving for Charleston, SC in 11.5 hours. (Road trip: minivan, four kids ages 4-12).
    So much yet to do.

  5. Bouncing between hockey and baseball on the boob tube -> Spring in MN.
    Glorious
