Happy Cesar Chavez Day! I am gonna celebrate by sneaking into an empty office to get caught up on some stuff.

So I was going through some wgom videos because Lauper scares me, anyway one of mag's picks https://wgom.org/2015/10/19/randy-travis-forever-and-ever-amen/ reminded me of something I've repressed. If your mom says a movie (western even) must be good because Randy Travis is in it, she's wrong.
Randy Travis had an acting career outside being Elmo's friend on Sesame Street?
I won't watch the trailers (because reliving the past) but there is a lot of questionable stuff on there.
Also Spooky, please don't watch blackhat.
It
is
terrible.
Ex Machina is still my favorite recent movie. Predictable but great.
The Breanna Stewart collegiate era is coming to a close. We need to appreciate the times we've lived in, because she's arguably the greatest collegiate player of all time (certainly for the women's game).
I have a hard time accepting that a player is great because their team is great. The writer even states that UConn is well balanced and not everything runs through her, which is counter to the argument. The article throws a lot of advanced stats out, but it's hard to find any that aren't skewed by the fact that Stewart is playing on one of the greatest college teams ever. I have a hard time accepting that Stewart is the greatest player even in UConn history, what with Diana Taurasi and Maya Moore. Neither won four titles but Stewart didn't have Tennessee's glory days to compete with. And Stewart hasn't won four titles yet, although that seems as much a foregone conclusion as ever before. I'm not even totally convinced Stewart is the best player this year what with all Rachel Banham has done despite every opponent knowing that if you stop her, you easily beat the Gophers.
My eyes tell me that she is a great, great player. She dunks, she shoots threes, she has a great handle, she runs the floor, she dominates defensively. Certainly the best all-around player since Cheryl Miller, but probably since Ever in the college game.
I can't discount her talent just because UCONN is loaded. Would we discount Lewis Alcindor or Bill Walton because UCLA was always loaded?
She's certainly an all-time great player and is well deserving of being considered for best ever, I'm just not sure I would vote for her based on the article. Also, has she dunked in a game? All videos of dunks I've seen were in practice or at the McDonald's All-American dunk contest, which she had help with (someone gave her an alley-oop pass in the contest). This wouldn't be considered a negative mark for her, I was just curious if she had actually dunked in a college game.
I don't know that she's dunked in a collegiate game. She's certainly capable of it.
the article didn't try to argue that she was the best ever. that was me. The article was just a foil to spin that conversation.
Twins leaving Florida today! Their games in Washington will be Free Games of the Day on mlb.tv! Season begins Monday!
I don't understand why embedded tweets look fine on my locked-down work computer's Chrome yet not on my home PTC Chrome. That seems backwards
Interesting. They look fine on my home Chrome.
As great as that catch was, I'm thinking that maybe he should not be doing that during spring training. He's too valuable to be getting hurt in a spring training game.

But that was betray his grittiness.
Ladies & gentlemen, put that 2016 Mayor's Cup on the mantle.
It turns out that the parents' of one of my coworkers are big fans of your establishment. I dunno if you know Mr. & Mrs. Preston?
That is cool to hear. I probably know them, but not by their last names. Pretty good at locking in first names, but last names... not so much. Great to hear they are fans though!
Pastor Dennis and Leila, it turns out.
This is pretty cool. Watch the 5 minute video that accompanies this article
Nick Burdi on the DL with forearm tightness. Sounds like he's been shutdown for several days and he's about ready to throw again but needs to time to build up to game readiness. Of course, forearm tightness can sometimes be a precursor to elbow ligament problems.

Which is?
Spring Training Twins >> Spring Training Red Sox
The Twins clinched that a long time ago.
and yet no one put it on the mantle until today?!

The Reason Baseball Bats Break Is More Complicated Than You Think
Did we decide who's going to do FMD tomorrow?
no.

Can you name all the Twins players in Opening Day lineups since 1991?
no.
216/250
which is way better than I thought I would do.
I barely broke 100. Probably shouldn't have done it on a Friday morning.
[bS]: likewise. I could hardly think of folks like Gagne, Hrbek and Puckett.
I got 190. Biggest miss was Cordova.
119 for 47%. Average is 40% so I'm feeling okay.
