An opinion on Twins minor league players of the week.
Padre, I neglected to check - how did Gordon look by COB last year? I know it's FL, but going 0-5 to drop your average to .333 doesn't feel all that ominous.
I must be slow this morning--I can't think what "COB" stands for. I can tell you that last year, Gordon hit .277/.336/.360 at Cedar Rapids, not bad but not all that impressive either. If memory serves, he got off to a slow start and then did better in the second half. He's hitting .333/.367/.467 in 75 at-bats this season.
Close of Business and Thanks!
Hopefully it isn't because he got into his brother's stash
Checking a little further, at the end of May 2015 Gordon was hitting .230/.305/.281 and at the end of June he was hitting .250/.325/.300. So it appears my memory was correct that he did better as the season went along.
