Minor Details: Games of May 1

Each Twins team scored exactly one run.  Surprisingly, they won two of three behind strong pitching by David Martinez and Aaron Slegers.

ROCHESTER 1, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 0 IN ROCHESTER

David Martinez pitched 7.1 scoreless innings and Adam Brett Walker II hit his third home run to carry the Red Wings to victory.  The home run came leading off the fifth inning and was one of only five hits Rochester got off ex-Twin Anthony Swarzak, who pitched a complete game.  Walker II also had a double in his 2-for-4 day.  Martinez gave up four hits and a walk while striking out six.

CHATTANOOGA 1, MONTGOMERY 0 IN CHATTANOOGA

Zach Granite led off the first with a single, stole second, and scored on a Mitch Garver single.  That was it for the scoring, as pitchers Aaron Slegers and Ryan Stanek took it from there.  Slegers went eight innings, giving up five hits and a walk with five strikeouts.  Granite was 2-for-4.  Daniel Palka went 0-for-2 with two walks to drop his average to .329.

CHARLOTTE 2, FORT MYERS 1 IN CHARLOTTE

Back-to-back doubles by Riley Unroe and Bralin Jackson put the Stone Crabs up 2-1 in the fifth.  The Miracle put the tying run on second in the seventh and eighth but could not bring him home.  Trey Vavra went 3-for-4.  Nick Gordon did not play and presumably was just given the day off.  Randy Rosario pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts.  Trevor Plouffe! went 0-for-4 and is 1-for-8 on his rehab assignment.

SOUTH BEND AT CEDAR RAPIDS
