Minor Details: Games of June 11

Rochester gets a big lead and holds on.  Cedar Rapids gets a big lead and blows it.  A wild game in the DSL.

ROCHESTER 6, TOLEDO 5 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings took a 6-1 lead after four and held on.  Jose Berrios pitched very well for 6.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk over that span, but then allowed a single, a walk, another single, and two doubles, so his final line reads five runs, seven hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.  Sean Burnett and Alex Wimmers combined for 2.1 perfect innings of relief to secure the victory.  Adam Brett Walker II was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, his thirteenth.  Logan Schafer was 2-for-4 and is batting .324.  Jorge Polanco was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk and is batting .322.  Eddie Rosario was 0-for-3 with a walk (his second consecutive game with a walk) and is batting .322.

CHATTANOOGA 8, TENNESSEE 1 IN TENNESSEE

The Lookouts scored two in the first to take the lead and put the game out of reach with four in the seventh.  Ryan Eades, who has pitched well since coming off the disabled list, went six shutout innings, allowing three hits and no walks with five strikeouts.  Travis Harrison was 3-for-5.  Ryan Walker was 2-for-4 with a home run and a double.  Leonardo Reginatto was 2-for-5 with a double and is batting .302.  Engelb Vielma was 1-for-3 and is batting .323.

BREVARD COUNTY 2, FORT MYERS 1 IN BREVARD COUNTY (10 INNINGS)

A wild pitch enabled the Miracle to tie it 1-1 in the ninth, but a walk, an error, and a passed ball plated the winning run for the Manatees in the tenth.  Randy Rosario had a fine game, going 6.2 innings and giving up just one run on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Nick Gordon and T. J. White were each 2-for-4 and combined for four of the five Miracle hits, all singles.

PEORIA 7, CEDAR RAPIDS 6 IN PEORIA

The Kernels had six hits, five of them doubles, in the first inning to take a 6-0 lead.  They managed only three singles the rest of the game, and when the Chiefs scored five in the fifth and two in the seventh the game was lost.  Eduardo Del Rosario pitched well for four innings, but his line is 4.1 innings, three runs, six hits, two walks, and three strikeouts.  Williams Ramirez had his first bad game in eight Class A appearances, going 2.2 innings and allowing four runs on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts.  Brad Hartong was 2-for-4.  Nelson Molina was 1-for-4 and is batting .301.  Kevin Garcia was 1-for-4 with a walk and is batting .313.
