Days are getting shorter again, folks. Winter is coming...

Speaking of winter is coming, is there anyone else who also thinks that a huge army of frozen zombies would really be no match for three dragons?
It's been shown they can be injured so how large is this army?
Who can be injured? The dragons? I didn't see the White Walkers with any airborne weapons. Just some simple crop dusting action and Westeros can spend the long winter reading by the fireplace.
Crop-dusting with what?
Maybe you can use dragons to burn an army of wights, but you need dragonglass or Valyrian steel to dispatch an actual White Walker. Or has something changed?
Samwel Tarley can deal with any White Walker (duh).
If they are able to cross the Wall then they'll find some. I don't know how much technical competency with various weapons they retain though.
Who is "they" (who're you referring to here) and should we be spoilering this discussion?
Nah, everyone knows winter is coming and everyone knows there are three dragons; I'm just taking two storylines and running them together. No indication that anything like this would every happen.
Freealonzo life updates:
I hurt my back in late April and have been pretty laid up. No hiking or biking, which is disappointing. I had an epic bike-hike-camping trip planned for Memorial Day weekend that I had to cancel and my annual Paul Bunyan Trail 165 mile Bike/beer drinking trip is this coming weekend and I have to skip. PT seems to be working but I'm a long way from normal. Hoping to avoid surgery.
My mother-in-law passed away last week and the burial was yesterday. She went peacefully. With Elaine gone, I was somewhat removed from the situation but of course concerned about kids losing their grandmother. They are coping well.
But most importantly...
It's a long story but it looks like I will be in Omaha this weekend on a chaperoning trip. I think my plans can accommodate a trip to the College World Series on Saturday. Rowsdower or others (Scot?) any tips on visiting Omaha and the College World Series? I will be in Omaha Friday evening to Sunday mid-day. I'll be with others so unfortunately a mini-caucus is not going to be in the cards. StubHub prices for the College World Series seem reasonable but it is possible to get tix on the street day of for cheaper?
The further you go into the CWS, the easier it is to get tickets, as the eliminated teams and their fans head for home. Tickets should be available, at least up to the final game.
Wave to the mothership, just south of the ballpark:
Check out the UP museum in Council Bluffs or the Strategic Air Command museum of you're looking for something to see.
I wanted to go to SAC musuem onece, but admission is like $16 so I passed.
Pretty much what Rhu_Ru said regarding tickets. Be sure and make some time to partake of all the activities around the ball park. If you have extra time I can second the recommendation for the SAC Museum which is out by Ashland. If you're into art the Joslyn is pretty nice and is the downtown area, also the zoo is world class.
So wait until Friday to use Stub Hub or just go down to the Park on Saturday and get something off the street?
I think you could get some right at the stadium.
Don't forget to eat at the Old Mattress Factory, near the ballpark; DPW's relative runs it.
It might just be the parts of me drawn to civic engagement, an awareness of the need for responsible stewardship of resources and, of course, home brewing (OBVI), but I think this would have been very cool to attend.
You can buy Drive By Trucker/Lydia Loveless at First Avenue September 24th tickets right now.
$6.00 per ticket fee plus shipping makes them a little more spendy but you will get tix before the presale.
AMR at tomorrow's game update:
Section 212, Row 3.
Anyone else going to be there? Anyone want to meet me for lunch at a food truck beforehand?*
It's possible that my office may have an extra ticket for me. If so, is anyone able to drop everything and meet me there?
*I've sworn off food at Target Field as the majority of my nausea episodes in the last few years have followed games at the Spot. Also, compared with stadium prices, Food trucks are better food for less money.
I can definitely meet for lunch at a food truck. I haven't been yet this year and need to rectify that.
WSK? As I'm headed to the game, I'd like to get to the truck before 11:30.
I'll email.
