SYRACUSE 6, ROCHESTER 4 IN SYRACUSE
Matt Skole's two-run homer in the third put the Chiefs up 4-3 and they would lead the rest of the game. Adalberto Mejia struck out seven in six innings but allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk. Tommy Field was 3-for-5 with a double. James Beresford was 2-for-4. Mitch Garver made his AAA debut and went 1-for-3 with a walk. Leonardo Reginatto also made his AAA debut and went 1-for-4. Byron Buxton was 0-for-3 with two walks and is batting .328.

ST. LUCIE 3, FORT MYERS 1 IN FORT MYERS (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)
The Mets scored two in the first and never trailed. Randy LeBlanc pitched four innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The Miracle had only three hits, all singles.
ST. LUCIE AT FORT MYERS (GAME 2--SUSPENDED)
The Mets did not score in the top of the first, and that was as far as they got. The game will be completed on August 16.

The Twins scored single runs in the second and fourth and got two in the seventh. Ryan Mason pitched six shutout innings, giving up four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Alex Kirilloff was 2-for-3 with a walk and is batting .361. Andre Jernigan was 2-for-4. Ariel Montesino was 0-for-5 and is batting .309. Lewin Diaz was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .304.
GCL ORIOLES 4, GCL TWINS 3 AT TWINS (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)
The Twins trailed 4-0 through four and a half, but got the tying run to third base in the seventh before falling. Jordan Balazovic pitched 4.2 innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on two hits and a walk with four strikeouts. He hit two batters. No Twin had more than one hit. Justin Hazard was 0-for-3 and is batting .361. Aaron Whitefield was 0-for-3 and is batting .313. Roni Tapia went 1-for-2 to raise his average into triple digits at .111 (5-for-45). Three of his five hits have been home runs.
GCL TWINS 5, GCL ORIOLES 2 AT ORIOLES (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)
Lean Marrero tripled and scored in a two-run third that put the Twins ahead to stay. Taylor Clemensia struck out seven in five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks. Aaron Whitefield was 3-for-3 with a walk and is batting .330. Marrero was 2-for-3. Dominic Blanco was also 2-for-3. One of the umpires for this doubleheader was Jennifer Pawol. She is the only female umpire in the minors and the first since 2007 (Ria Cortesio).
DSL ORIOLES2 7, DSL TWINS 5 AT ORIOLES2
The Twins scored three in the top of the eighth to take a 5-4 lead, but the Orioles2 got the three right back in the bottom of the eighth and won. Melvi Acosta pitched five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Ruben Santana was 2-for-3 with a walk. Victor Tademo was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .329. Jorge Parra was 1-for-3 and is batting .302.
