Sano's K sure didn't look like a strike on the Tigers' broadcast.
Now THERE'S A DH!!!
Grossman HR brought to you by Dozier. Ton of throws over after his earlier SB, and clearly Zimmerman was paying too much attention to the runner. Who, by the way, was running on the blast.
Also, this is worth putting out there: I thought Buxton's AB was pretty good. He took some close pitches, and seemed to be trusting his eye a little more.
I hope.
I hope

We've seen him have sustained success before, so I feel ok with the hope. (I've also been a Wolves fan for a really long time, so take that as you will...)
He can't possibly be as bad as he's looked so far this season, so I think some hope is justified.
An eighteen wheeler won't stop on a dime.
I'm about to head to work and just realized I forgot about the game until now. Even while posting in the CoC. Sigh.
I remembered about the game, but forgot about the intro. (Thanks, CH!)
Jahwol!
Did not know that "jawohl" was acceptable instead of "ja wohl" (yes well) -- TIL!
I learned the compound version in school.
Auf Wiedersehn, baseball!
Tschüs!
Nice pitching change!
Buxton!
Somewhere, Bremer just passed out.
Drink!
I can't even imagine for giddy Dick must be right now.
Er, ah, #freerobbie!
Scoring a bunch of runs on the Tigers is so much more fun than the other way around.
So much more.
Especially when my fantasy benefits from a Sano wallop.
Kepler helped one of my teams.
I almost dropped him today...
Bux and Joe with a batting boost this inning
Sanooooooo!
Coulda used a few of these runs yesterday...
Boom
Sanchez is throwing some nice BP.
Someone send the "stop it, your killing him" Simpsons gif to Brad Ausmus so he can get Sanchez out of there.

pitching to the score
Is FSN carrying the game? Can anybody tell me how many times Dick has mentioned the bunt as the key to the inning?
Nope, they said yesterday that today's game would not be televised.
*imagining Dick sitting home in his bathrobe, knocking the precariously balanced bag of Best Value corn chips off the arm of his recliner, as he excited sits up and shouts across the empty basement at his Bichon "THAT! Is how you do it."*
Need to get Tonkin in here, tempt some fate.
oh, you!
I laughed.
I didn't know Jacque Jones is playing CF for the Tigers...
This seems like a good day for Haley to pick up a save.
Molitor is in line with your thinking here.
I actually really like having an actual true long relief inning sponge. Haley has seemed fine at it so far.
And he finished with more strikeouts than Hughes.
It's almost like maybe we could get by with just seven relief pitchers.
It's silly that Haley threw as many innings yesterday as Belisle has all season... and more than Rogers and Pressly have thrown, yet we need all those "higher leverage" relievers just in case.
Puppies!

The Twins still have not won a game in which Buxton didn't strikeout.
So you're saying Tonkin only pitches in games when Buxton doesn't K? These are the kinds of trends that the FO needs to track.
The Twins also have not lost a day game, a home game, extra-inning game, or a game on turf.
All 3 games in Detroit were day games. I'd like to forget those as well.
Typo - have not lost a night game
We're still on track for 159-3!
I'm real excited about Sano. He has a 1.253 OPS after today. Not only that, but all his underlying rate states are better than they were when he was a rookie, including his K rate, his BB rate, and his GB/FB ratio. Coming into today, his BABIP was basically the same as his rookie season.
