  1. All due respect to Don Baylor, but Dazzle, the 1987 Twins did not lack "a big bopper in the middle of the lineup". Hrbek hit 34 home runs, Brunansky hit 32, Gaetti hit 31, and Puckett hit 28. Baylor helped, and I'm glad the Twins had him, but let's not pretend the '87 Twins were the piranhas.

  2. I tend to think of Polanco as older than he is, I guess because he first came up pretty young. He just turned 24 last month.

      1. He's having a strange arc since he was decent at the plate last year. Making errors when you've been a disaster hitting is a bad look.

  3. MLB.tv is stuck in the top of the third inning for me. I keep trying to start playing live but nope, back to the Travis Shaw plate appearance.

    1. It is strongly recommended that you make sure it skips the rest of that half inning before resuming.

  4. MLB.tv just shit the bed, though I see some runs have scored. I'm going back to rolling 'sushi' for dinner.

      1. We just made some the other day. It's a good deal of work, if I had to admit. Usually pretty delicious, though, and it gives me a reason to both drink sake and make fake unagi sauce.

  5. Cory, I'm not as interested in getting "momentum" as I am in getting some runs and catching up.

  6. Much as I'd love to see Sano back in the lineup, I'm glad the Twins are taking their time with him. I've seen too many guys come back too soon with hand and wrist injuries. They can play, but they can't actually get much accomplished. Let Sano sit until he's fully healthy.
