I know these guys are good pitchers and all, but it's hard for me to understand how a major league batter, especially one who is supposedly a good bunter, can try to bunt and completely miss. Foul it off, sure, but not completely miss.

I feel like both teams are to be complimented on the pace of this game. One hour from the first pitch and we're partway through the fifth inning.
Only three baserunners in four and a half innings will do wonders for the pace of play.

Another pet peeve of mine is when announcers say, as Dazzle just did, "The pitcher has only made one mistake." The chances are he's made several mistakes. It's just that there's only one that the batter did something with.
Bert just said, "Shields hadn't made too many mistakes, but he left that ball up..." during a game review FWIW.
Normally I would disagree with Dazzle that Mauer should take two strikes to let Dozier steal. With Mauer, though, there's a good chance he'll take two strikes anyway.
And he did, but Dozier didn't.
