My favorite S&G track; this rendition is missing something someone
paul shaffer? no, he's there.
Paul Shaffer is everywhere
just like pitbull.
FWIW, one of the few S&G versions out there is the Central Park concert, and for some reason it bugs me so much when Art jumps that line. So, that one was out.
I was surprised to see there's a forthcoming children's book about these guys:
I'm with you. I often wonder whether books like this have more appeal for nostalgic parents/grandparents than for kids.
I think it depends on the message of the book. I bought the Poissonnier this picture book about Mary Lou Williams. There's something in so many stories that kids can take away as a formative, positive ethos; it's just up to the author to convey it in a way that isn't overly precious or nostalgic for a time well before the kid's own. If the kid's likely to hear that music, they might as well understand something about where it came from.
That someone gets good marks in my book for his treatment of the kitchen folk at Vincent back in '02.
