November 26, 2017: Recovery

The blitz of humanity and pace of work kind of brought me a relapse of the pneumonia symptoms. I'm off today, anyway.

I've hardly had a moment to spend here. On the upside, our location was #1 in the company on Thursday. So, as terrible as it is that I had to work, that's a bonus I'll be getting.

  1. Elder Daughter arrived back in the USA safe and sound today around 7:30 a.m. PST. She danced on the beach at midnight of the full moon, bathed with oliphants and showered in waterfalls, hiked through a monkey forest, got blessed by Buddhist monks, and watched a volcano erupt. That's my girl.

    1. I guess. But as I've said before, it's easy to say "We're interested" or "we're talking". I'll get interested when they actually make a deal.

      1. Absolutely. But we wouldn't even have gotten this level of interest (despite how easy it is) under TR.

  2. Gah. Dead battery on the minivan that won't jump. Not looking forward to dealing with this on Monday morning.

    1. I just replaced the battery on our shitbox, it's not that bad. Though, when you only have one car carrying the replacement on your bike is tricky.

      1. It seemed to pick up a little juice when being jumped, but never enough to start. From what I'm reading, that's more likely to be things other than the battery itself, so that's the real worry. Also getting it out of the garage and up to the mechanic's.

That said, I adore the image of you carrying a car battery on your bike.

      1. I don't know that he "deserved" better. He didn't exactly dominate in Rochester. Injuries were unfortunate, but I just don't see much evidence that he was a viable major leaguer.

        1. Perhaps I should have been more general and said MLB. I will never not be convinced his decision to not flip his bat was responsible. Also, I don't know what the "playing through injury" culture is like in Korea, but it was pretty obvious his hot start was derailed by that hand injury and playing through it was a bad idea.
