Saul Soto delivered a single-plus-error in the bottom of the ninth, allowing Noel Cuevas to score from first with the winning run. Adrian Salcedo pitched five shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks and striking out two. Paul Leon hit a home run, his third, for Navojoa's only run. Eddie Gamboa pitched seven innings for Navojoa, giving up one run on four hits and two walks and striking out four.

A double and four consecutive singles plated three runs for Hermosillo in the fifth and that was all they needed. Jose Samayoa struck out six in six shutout innings, giving up three hits.

The Toros scored one in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead and got four in the eighth to take control of the game. Anderson Feliz hit a three-run double in the eighth inning.
