I've always had a soft spot for Escobar, but hot damn, I am so happy for him and the year he's been having so far.

Goes double for me.
At what point do we worry about the fact that Berrios can't throw his curveball for strokes anymore?
When strokes replace strikes as a way to get to 3 iuts?
Wots yor pint?
I wasn't able to watch yesterday's game, but that seems to come and go for him.
Not sure at what point, but pretty sure it's not when he just held the 3rd best offense in baseball to 1 run in 6.1 innings or when he's 5-2 with a 2.34 ERA in his last 7 starts and has a 57/9 K/BB ratio over 50 innings.
Did you watch the game? I'm glad he was able to wriggle out of jams but I can't think of too many starting pitchers that can get by only throwing fastballs. He was constantly in trouble
Respectable chance I'd have a stroke if he threw one my way.
I guess whenever the other teams start to make adjustments that he's not able to counteract. He's been pretty solid over his last few starts, so it hasn't come back to bite him yet.
Berrios is 7-5, 3.38 with a WHIP of 0.97. Does he have room to improve? Sure he does. Everybody does. But it I was making a list of the things to worry about on this team, I don't know if Berrios and his curveball would even make the top ten.
Ok. Maybe I phrased this wrong. I didn't mean worried in that he isn't any good. I meant worried in the "Is he hurt?" way.
"Is he hurt," meaning, for example, did he have a cerebrovascular accident?
Oh, man, that's just made up.
Berrios doesn't need no stinking curveball!! His fastball is amazing! He is the best!
