I'm betting it wasn't late and close though.
Since the Dodgers have long wanted him, and he knows it, I would think any bit of heroics in the playoff run / playoffs would net him a 2-3 year contract in LA.
He does look sharp in that Blue and White. A good uni can do that for anybody I suppose. That, and he's dreamy.
Looks do matter in the city of angels.
I bet you to stylists of LA can't wait to get their hands on that hair.
Boognish: Ween at the Palace on Nov 3 & 4.
I'm thinking long and hard about this. J & I will be in town the weekend before for Mitski and Aparna Nancherla. I wanna see the boys again but... it's so much driving. I'm strongly considering it though.
Considering it's been 10+ years since La Cucaracha and they've only played occasional shows/tours since Gene-o left to dry out, I jumped on this for FOMO ... despite having no idea how they sound live nowadays. At my wife's request, I went with seats in the balcony, rather than floor GA. She must think we're old or something ... but whatever it took to get her onboard was alright by me.
This might be my favorite tweet of 2018.
Twins' farm system ranked No. 6 by mlb.com. Royce Lewis is 10th overall and is the highest-ranked player drafted from 2017 (just barely over No. 11 Mackenzie Gore).
No. 6!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Twins claim Oliver (Love The) Drake and Johnny (But Can He Bat) Field. Two 40-man roster spots were available, so no other moves necessary, but it is notable that Greg Holland was released today and is available to sign for the veteran's minimum.
Drake may have good AAA numbers, but he's thirty-one and has never done anything in the majors. Field would be acceptable AAA roster filler, but the Twins seem to keep bringing AAA roster filler to the big leagues and giving it a substantial role there.
His FIP in the majors is 3.51, including 3.65 for this year, so I guess the Twins are hoping they can figure out how to get his underlying numbers to translate into good actual results. The real question is who's 25-man roster spot is he taking because he has to be on the MLB roster. Hopefully, it's Belisle's.
The Drake is not listed on the Twins' roster for tonight's game. I'm guessing the Twins don't have to make room for him on the 25-man until he is available to play for them.
So sean, how are the Twins shaping up this season in QS losses vs the league?
Do poorer teams tend to have more QS losses because more losses? Or do better teams have more because more QS?
Play Index can do that search by team, but associating with won-loss records and checking correlation would all be manual.
That last part was just thought experiment, not any kind of request
