Shout out to my sister getting married this weekend. She could have just found a place to do it close to home, but nope, just had to do it an extra three hours NW of the cities. Oh yeah, and the whole family is sick. Fun drive.

  2. Reminds me of when my brother got married in St. Cloud. Now, it would have been a long drive even if he'd have done it closer to Stillwater, but what was really awesome was that that Friday the Madison area had a 500 year storm that would eventually close the interstates due to flooding (it was worse than this summer). He got mad at me because I told him I wasn't sure if we'd make it in time for the rehearsal. Like, dude, I couldn't see five feet in front of me!

  3. Dr. Chop’s brother is getting married in lutsen this weekend. I’ll be wearing a light jacket because chilly.

      1. They’re getting married on Sunday (!)(how scandalous). We’re eating lunch with the happy couple and driving back to peterville to catch a flight early Monday morning. So, no bueno. Though I may try to stop in at pryes for a beer.

        1. One of these visits, we’re going to include Nola in the caucus!
          I’m nowhere near the final word on what’s around, but I can’t say I’ve heard about Pryes before. Thanks for the notice!

I had a dream last night that a bunch of WGOMers went out to check out some new restaurant/concert venue where the Twins prospects were having an event, and then we sat around talking books and movies, and then Sturgill Simpson showed up to play, including a couple of songs off of a new album that was being released soon. It was basically the most WGOM get together ever. There were folks there who I've never met and have no idea what they look like (CH, for example), and I found myself in the dream thinking "funny, that's not what I'd think CH would look like". Which is really funny, since it was a dream and that is apparently 100% what my mind thinks CH should look like.

      2. Nope. I was thinking about seeing Blitzen Trapper at the Fine Line ($25, 8:00 doors). 'Furr' 10th Anniversary tour. Anyone going?

  18. Blue has a wide strike zone working. But one through the SS puts runners on the corners with 2 out in the bottom of 9.

  21. Just had a Berliner (soft donut with cherry jelly in the middle, lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar) waiting for BER-JFK flight. Best. Donut. Evah.
