Work party was last night, though I set up this CoC yesterday (or today as I write this; time travel is weird) just in case I'm in no condition to do so this morning. See, that's call responsibility, children.

I can see something ironic about using "in case I'm in no condition to do so" and "responsibility, children" the way you did
Congratulations, you spotted the joke.
But not the typo
that typo really ties the comment together.
Amusingly, I set the dates up before the party. Yeesh.
Amusingly, I was referring to "call" instead of "called" -- I didn't even notice the date
Well it was the second off-date in a row.
Yup, "dates". Was setting up today as the 11th before I finally noticed.
So, got the new tires put on Younger Daughter's car yesterday and while they did the work I walked over to Tim Horton's. I waited at least three minutes and nobody came to the counter, they were all in back doing God knows what, so I eventually left and went to Burger King instead. I wasn't impressed with the menu, and it was mid-afternoon so they were mostly out of donuts anyway. Not sure if I'll ever give it another try.
Tim Horton the poor bastard. Tragic story for sure.
I'd say save your money until Lewis and Kiriloff get here because that's apparently what the Twins are doing.
Lee Smith
Harold Baines
your new Baseball Hall of Fame players.
And the entry standards are tweaked lower.
Every year I get interested in the voting process mostly because I get invested in particular players making it (while they're still alive so they can enjoy it). I was very happy for Tim Raines and I'll be very happy for Edgar Martinez and Mike Mussina when they get in. I don't care if lesser players are in and there are enough joke players in already so whatever.
That feeling you get when you realize you had Derrick Henry on the bench (for good reason, but still).
