I came here just to say "Eff you, Jim Souhan!"
Dude needs to give his Mauer hatred a permanent vacation.
He's paid to write click-bait, and he's lazy so he pushes the easy buttons. I don't even read him anymore.
Barreiro is the same for me on the radio. I haven't listened to KFAN in years due to him, Dan Cole and pretty much everyone else. We got Sirius free subscription with our Jeep and I basically listed to the national MLB station, NFL, Golf... all national.
Mp3's and Bluetooth for. The. win.
Plus there are like 50 different storylines one could pick regarding this Twins team, not all of them laudatory either, and Souhan goes with Mauer still sucks?
Fish gotta swim, poultry gotta fly

I know you hate Souhan but I think this article does a pretty good job of acknowledging Mauer as a hall of fame player who gave a lot to our team and community while also concluding that we are now better without him and his large (earned) contract. I'm sure you disagree with parts but overall I think it's pretty accurate.
I refused to open so I'm not sure if I'd agree or disagree.
Let me answer that for you —-> top jimmy is an idiot.
Geez, yesterday Twins, Lynx, Loons, Saints, Gopher softball all win. All at home in front of capacity crowds. That’s some Bizarro World Minnesota sports.
We were in Chicago a few years ago for our anniversary, so late September, when the Cubs, White Sox, Bears and Blackhawks all had home games on the same Sunday. Public transportation was fun that day, I'm telling you.
Fortunately, the NBA draft is coming up to offer us the reality confirming pinch .
The Great Family Room Remodel goes on apace. Where once there was the closet that killed fung shui, there is now flat wall. Today I tape, mud and sand the sheet rock, tomorrow I paint the ceiling. Tuesday I paint the walls. Furniture delivery and assembly on Wednesday, final trim work on Thursday, and carpet installed on Friday. Nephew's HS grad party on Saturday and graduation ceremony at Mariucci next Sunday. Got a busy week ahead of me.
Even if you don't like football, you have to like the hipster music.
Groovy, man.
Everyone is upbeat here in StL with the Blues in the Finals; as an expat I'm mentally pretending the enthusiastic positive vibe is for the Twins juggernaut.
Almost missed it, but we can't let the day go by without noting that this is the anniversary of Tom Kelly's only major league home run..
Remember when we"d be tickled to be four games over .500? Dudes, we're four games over .667!
Well, that was a fun game. Especially because the jalapeño had to concede that I was right about him having a good time. He was just in awe of Buxton stealing second and third! (And after we got home, he absolutely begged to go practice baseball at the park after dinner.)
Our seats were in full sun, and the peperoncino and I had to retreat to the shade after the first two innings, but we ended up next to a 5-year-old girl and her dad. The kids got along wonderfully, which allowed me to be able to actually watch more of the game.
We stayed for the full game, and the peperoncino was excited to run the bases afterward, despite the massively long line. While we were waiting, I told him how it didn't count if a runner missed a base and hilariously, he missed second, realized his error and reversed course to tag second before continuing the rest of the way around the bases. I was cracking up as I watched.
