Dang Millennials now killing the Great Red Spot!?!
Jovians living underneath it thinking "finally the rain is going to let up".
I believe there is a clandestine alien bunker hidden under the atmosphere of Jupiter. Every so often they deal with the most extreme weather when this storm passed near by. At least that's what the science fiction writer in me believes.
CC to beau ---> I have a couple of general ish questions about your profession if you don't mind... drop me an email at zero zero 2 shores (*at*) the googles
Licensed to grill?
If I had more money to flush down the toilet I would totally open a restaurant.
When I win the lottery and open my combination Curling Club/Brewpub with cheaptoy and FTLT, I'm sure we could squeeze you in with at least an overpaid consultancy.
The Art of Meat
You are welcome. Instant Michelin star.
By the way, the curling/brewpub would totally work in the TC suburbs. The Chaska Curling Center has been ridiculously successful.
I can attest to the fact that running a bar/restaurant is super easy. All you do is unlock the doors and count the money!
Hey zooomy, I'm working hard on trying to get a suppertime stop by P&P on 7/6 on our way through to D.L. -- we'll see
Keep me posted. Pretty confident I will be here this time!
My God, how the money rolls in.
Today, my oldest graduates. She's also the oldest grandkid on my side.
My mom's goal was to make it long enough to see one of her grandkids graduate. She missed it by about 4 years.
Oh,and today would have been my parents' 50th anniversary.
It's a weird day. We want to keep it about graduation, but it seems fake to not at least acknowledge everything else. We decided to host dessert at our house after dinner and made the dessert my mom would make for my dad. It seems like a good way to subtly honor the day without taking away from the graduate.
That’s a lovely tribute to ancestors who are surely there in spirit, and would be proud of their granddaughter. Congrats to her, and to you, too.
Thanks!
Nice tribute indeed! Congrats on the graduate!
I am very thankful that my kids are home for the summer, it made graduation not so emotional. I do know that the dropping the kids off to school there will be major tears a fallin'. Last year my wife was a mess when we dropped the boy off. Dropping them both off in the same week this August is going to be brutal.
The youngest (second-oldest grandchild on my wife's side, 4th and youngest on my side) graduates Sunday.
Your comment reminded me of the Boy's from Carleton. FiL missed it by 6 months. The Boy wore his Cardinals hat for the event.
Since it's National Doughnut Day and the Twins are playing the Tigers, I'm going on a limb and predicting the Twins shut 'em out. Oh, and GarvSauce HR
Giving up on Kepler already? 😉
Lefty starter -- ask me again tomorrow
I would think La Tortuga would be a fitting player to hit a home run on National Doughnut Day.
Schoop has two doughnuts in his last name so I'll pick him

It's been awhile for Cron.

I had someone dip out, anyone want to come to the Thursday 12:10pm game this week? Upside: free ticket and sloppy taters. Downside: you have to sit next to me. But CoC's done it twice and survived so...
I'm interested. Let me check calendars and such and I'll let you know.
Sounds good.

"Don't trust anyone from Indiana" Kurt Vonnegut Probably.
Gonna go with Miguel "Bag o' Donuts" Sano to go yard tonight.
Um, should probably check the lineup card first, especially this year. Scratch Sano, I'm going with Rosario instead.
Ack, I don’t know how you frequent travelers do it. 5:30p flight to Chicago delayed until 7:00p so tonight’s plans ruined.
I won't lie, changing jobs to one that almost never requires any travel is one of the reasons I haven't changed jobs again.
I just never make plans after a flight.
We had someone we were supposed to interview yesterday for a part-time teaching job in my department. She was on a flight from Denver to LAX on Wednesday evening. With the plane already past Las Vegas, so only like 30 minutes from landing, they had to turn around and head back to Denver due to a major power outage at LAX. So, a total of 4-5 hours in the air, with the end result of ending up exactly where they started from, and no chance to get to LA until the following day. Ugh.
(She interviewed today instead, it was no big deal for us, but still a mess for her.)
Gonna hire her?
Yep. Plus she can teach multiple subjects, so gives some scheduling flexibility. Utility infielder!
Tough watching the Warriors playing so short-handed. But you gotta respect Toronto. They are really good. And Kawhi...damn.
We're witnessing something historic here; the Great Red Spot is unravelling, and continues to shrink in size
