Polanco 's turn
Gibson embracing two outcomes this inning.
The best two he can embrace
Sano
That's why you have a Buxton.
Props to the Detroit crowd for not booing at the pick offs. Cleveland sucks.
Welp.
Nibbly Gibson today. These are some crappy hitters, man, be aggressive!
Ugh
Ugh
we need to hit some bombas this inning
What a yawner of a game.
approaching ballscratcher territory.
yes!
Cruzhed!
Who had Cruz?
Nobody, as usual
Cue circus music
Scoresheet bingo that inning.
Cant win them all.
We only took one loss for that debacle
A few quick thoughts, since I won't have time to do a recap:
--The Twins seemed really flat today, but you usually look flat when you're not hitting. It can be hard to tell which is the cause and which is the effect.
--I don't think Gibson was intentionally nibbling. I think he just has poor command sometimes, and this was one of those times.
--Good job by Ryan Eades for throwing two shutout innings in his major league debut. He didn't exactly blow anyone away, but he got by for two innings, which is probably the best we can hope for out of him.
--Good job by Rocco for leaving Magill in to get beaten up in the eighth. Nothing against Magill, and I'm sure it's no fun to be in that situation, but it would've been pointless to burn another pitcher in that situation.
--Put this one in the rearview mirror. Go get 'em tomorrow!
