Kyle Gibson
vs
Mike Fiers
No reports of any blisters for Gibson yet. Yet another two-game losing streak, something the Twins have had a lot of the past two weeks (four since mid June). This time however, good(?) luck(?) charm bS is in attendance to cheer on the team.
Bux
Kepler
Do "maybes" count?
I think they do.
Garver
Sano
Cron.
Kepler's first pitch looked out from here.
Pictures will have to wait. I can't upload because the files are too big.
Ugh, Gibson
Polanco tonight
do HR predictions count if you hit the hay before they come to fruition?
"Radar-type gun guy" is classic Dazzle at his best
Gibson stinks
Incredible play by Gibson to prevent the bunt double.
Calling a Polanco homer
Ooo, I was too early
Stupid good fielders.
Well, that evened out.
Eff the bunting.
Polanco!!!!
I would like to see way less Parker this year.
Surprised Rocco didn't ask the imps to talk on Chapman running on the grass
Twins fans. Arraez!
Bert, it’s not that clubs don’t bunt because guys don’t know how anymore, they don’t bunt because bunting is dumb.
And much harder with 93 mph breaking balls
Feels like about the only stadium in baseball where that foul ball hit that deep is in play.
So this is going to go 17-18 innings then.
Great plate appearance by Buxton to set that up.
In mitch we trust
I love watching Buxton run the bases.
That slide into home reminded me of Gomez in 09
Geez that was 10 years ago?
Dude, we’re old.
Reminded me of the same thing.
Holy cow, that was a great play by Chapman.
Hopefully the one run is enough.
Chapman’s quite the gloveman.
Best in baseball maybe
Yup, he’s up there, for sure. I like Arenado a little more, but they’re both elite.
Good challenge, and a good tag by Schoop.
Come on. One more out.
Just finished GOT. Now go Twins!
This ended better than that...
Interested to hear your thoughts.
I think the Twins are a good team this year.
Whew. Rogers is really, really good.
Nice.
That was satisfying. Good night everyone
Yep. Good game.
Just home from Oaktown. We had to leave just as Rogers entered the game in order to catch the BART. 4.5 hours is a loooong game.
Gibby was not exactly good and not exactly bad. Seemed to struggle with his command a bit. The bullpen, despite Parker's efforts to torpedo things, was excellent.
Arreaz continues to rake. Cron continues to swing an assbat, other than one plate appearance (the walk?) where he fouled a bunch off. Buxton is fast.
The challenge on the play at the plate was ruled correctly, I think. The A's dude raised his lead leg over the plate on the slide.
Evergood makes good sausages, but Kramarczuks are superior.
Also, we spent some time at Fieldworks in Berkeley before the game. Lots of tasty beers (we sampled 12 or 13).
A good day.
