Joe Nathan is being inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame today. What's your favorite memory or facial tic?

Ordonez lining into a double play in game 163 and Nathan doing two windmill fist pumps
Yeah, that's the one specific memory that came to my mind, as well.
Honestly, when I think about Nathan, though, I mostly just think of his tics on the mound. Dude looked like he was going to fall to pieces before every pitch.
I never thought he looked nervous so much as pensive.
I dunno. Against A-Rod in the 2009 ALDS he looked nervous
I went and watched that inning earlier*. Then I had to watch the end. Man that was a fun one.
*I was reminded of how terrible Chip Caray is, though.
Line drive. Base hit. Caught out there. The runner tags. Throw to the plate. On target. And in time! A double play.
I also used to have one of Batgirl's Santana/Nathan 04 t-shirts that said, "Sit down, bitch!"
Got a lot of compliments at the Dome
I had one of those too!
Sheenie still wears hers to a game about once a season
She must take better care of her clothes than I
Probably going to be a crazy day at work today, so I am going to put a very early pick in for Cruz.
Kepler.
Cruz and Kep
Miguel to pwn tonight.
Cruz and Sano.
Garver and Cron
Rosario
Sano!
Successful book hunting trip at the annual book fair: found McDevitt's "Thunderbird" and Mrs Runner found a stack of her crappy historical romance novels. Now it's time for sushi (for her - spicy chicken for me)
I bet the manager had some palpitations with that dive.
There are certain plays in baseball that I just love seeing executed well. The hit and run. The suicide squeeze. A double (or triple!) play. The wheel play on bunted balls. And throwing a perfect strike from the outfield to nail the runner coming home. I really like that one a lot.
As a RF rover in softball, my favorite play was the one- or two-bounce strike to get the runner heading to third - something about watching the ball passing by the advancing runner. Unfortunately more often than not the 3B muffed the catch/tag.
As a centerfielder in baseball and fast pitch softball (80 lbs ago), I was always fond of the gunning a runner down at the plate. My least favorite play? When the infielder would cut off a damn good throw to the plate. I may have been heard to shout "you obviously don't know how strong my arm is!" to my teammates a few times.
During my year in Dublin, I played short for a softball team. I was always the cutoff guy, no matter where it went in the outfield. Everyone knew to get it in to me, and had free reign to roam wherever I needed to.
One game, the opposing player/manager was from Memphis(? Little Rock? Somewhere in that neck of the woods). I liked the cut of his jib - he always had his team taking extra bases, which is great strategy in Dublin city beer league. Defenses were not very sharp. I ended up throwing out a guy at third and another at home.
IN the last inning, I threw out a third base runner, this one at home again and this was from fairly deep in the outfield. Credit to the batter, he crushed it. It probably took a top-3 throw of my life to get him, but I did (and props to the catcher for getting the tag down too.)
The player/manager literally threw his hat on the ground and started yelling "WE WENT OVER THIS! I TOLD Y'ALL NOT TO RUN ON HIM!" in a thick West Tennessee/Arkansan accent. I tried, and probably failed, to hide the massive smirk on my face.
On my phone so hopefully the link works, but one of my top 5 favorite plays from the last 10 years is when Aaron Hicks nailed Vernon Wells at 3rd base
Finished season 3 of Stranger Things. I tell my friends that if the X-Files and the Goonies hooked up and had a love child it would be called Stranger Things. As a 86 high school graduate, the nostalgia of the show and all the shout outs they slip in to my high school days is just so enjoyable. Just a fun ride of a show.
So the next binge watching decision was made to revisit Letterkenny.
I think this bit from the show got the most nostalgia for me:
Merry go round continues.
Thorpe down. Buxton and Pineda to IL.
Cron back. Littell and Cave up.
Jeez. What happened to Bux this time?
What else? Wall.
I like all of Pentair's sustainability efforts at Target Field, but I suggest we could use better wall padding to sustain our CF's career
