Not sure if that's worse than me not watching it at all. I was exhausted yesterday and needed to get to bed earlier than getting sucked into a game would have allowed.
Same here, but I’m not gonna lie, I needed the rest.
Twins only six home runs from tying the team record. It could happen as soon as this series but more likely against Cleveland. They'll have nearly 50 games to pad their total.
In fear of stealing thunder from my upcoming game log, given who is slated on the mound for the Barves, I'd say the 1964 record is in mortal danger of going down tonight.
Here's a familiar sounding Lee Ritenour piece 😉 written by Dave Grusin:
Here is the list of player who hit 30 home run in a Twins uniform: Nelson Cruz, Terry Steinbach, Luis Rivas.
Dave Winfield hit 31
I'm betting that it took Rivas longer to get there than any of the other guys.
Max Kepler is very sad.
hey, he could have stopped at 30 if it was that big of a deal!
Statcast says Sano's game-winner last night traveled 443 feet with an exit velocity of 109.4 mph. When Sano came in to pinch hit I told my wife our best hope was for a hanging breaking ball and sure enough, boom.
*apologies if this was shared already ... my first time seeing it.
Makes me feel better to see that one of the prospects from the Mighty Mouse trade is well thought of:
9. Jhoan Duran, RHP (Preseason #23)
Age: 21
ETA: 2021
Highest Level: A+
2019 stats (over 2 levels): 3-9, 3.04 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 98 SO, 32 BB, 83.0 IP
Equipped with tremendous velocity in the upper 90’s, Duran has really turned it on as of late, striking out 60+ batters since the end of June. If he can figure out how to better handle left handed batters, he could become even better, but, for now, he still remains one of the best prospects within the Twins’ system with a ton of potential.
i was about to ask about this. he must have liked arizona because he re-signed there real quick.
Probably a combination of hitting in the ballpark and warm weather.
Suzuki was also catching
Arizona is also using an air raid sirens for homers? Boooooooo.
Per @EliasSports via @SlangsOnSports, the Twins — currently at +80 in HR differential—are flirting w an historic mark. MIN on pace to finish at +115. Record is +116 by ‘27 Yankees (158 hit, 42 allowed). Orioles on pace for -119 HR differential; record is -115, set by ‘96 Twins
That 96 Twins team was something. 2nd in hits, 3rd in doubles, 1st in triples.
I moved here in 1997. Those were the worst Twins teams to watch on my lifetime. At least they could hit in the late 70s and early 80s.
Man, I'm totally intrigued by this. We should totally keep a HR Differential Watch
The hardest part will be keeping the Orioles above -115.
I've got errands again through game time, so let me key you all in: tonight is Garver's time to shine
I'm going to stick with Cruzsario.
National Night Nelson
Kepler & Rosario
Kepler and Sano.
Rosario
Kepler and Cruz (I think I could pick 4 and have a shot tonight, but I won't)
I guess if you did that you could multiply your points by 16!
I was seriously considering 3.
Rosario.
Cruz and Cron.
We still might add another pitcher.
Could we see Brusdar Graterol in a #MNTwins uniform this season?According to Twins Assistant GM Rob Antony:"I would not be surprised to see him up in Minnesota at some point." pic.twitter.com/ef5G8kPuCn— SKOR North (@SKORNorth) August 7, 2019
I turned off the game at the wrong time.

Twins still maintain a 27 HR lead over second place. Some stuff from the 4ltr

Kyle Farnsworth is still in the league?
Is JI
JIM THOME still in the league?
RIP, Toni Morrison.

You're killing me, Legal! (Watch to the end)
We need Homer saying, "That's good. That's bad."
