I don't know WHO to pick - HR prone but good WHIP. Guess I'll play some polancoball
After yesterday's disappointing performance, I expect a bounce-back.
Polanco, Kepler, Cruz.
Winner!!!
I'll just take meat's 1,000 points and rest on my laurels for a while.
Garver and Sano
Cleaned out the fridge today. I now have a shelf dedicated to pickled things in addition to my shelf dedicated to mustard. I don't know why, but that gives me great joy.
Nice. My wife would not be happy if I attempted such a thing. I get the “do you really need that many different mustards/hot sauces/pickles?” question about twice a year.
You should shoot back with "do you really want to put Dijon on a brat?" The mustard gods didn't invent all these different types for humans not to eat them.
Do you really want to put any mustard on a brat*? Ketchup. (and cheese and onions and bell peppers)
*thank you for not saying hot dog
Completely agree with this take, but I feel you might get some resistance.
I'm no gate keeper on what goes on em. For me, though, it's spicy brown mustard and sauerkraut. Mmmmmm mm.
This thread is reminding me that I will need to make a batch of CH's mustard. AFTER the move.
All beef Hebrew National dogs with Dijon mustard and chopped onion on a lightly toasted split-top N.E. bun - fantastiche! Best when the dog is longer than the bun.
To her, all mustard is gross. She’s anti-condiment in general (other than ketchup on tater tots, and sometimes burgers and hot dogs) so there is not really an answer other than “yes, I really do use that many, and yes, they are actually different.”
Anti-condi-what-now? My fridge is 70% condiments. Like, I'm a good cook, but even the best quiche could use a little hot sauce, you know?
Unfortunately, no matter how much hot sauce one puts on it, it’s still quiche.
Mmmm, quiche.
I'm strongly anti-yellow mustard. I like horseradish and other brown mustards, though
Dijon is yellow. Just sayin'
I don't care for Dijon that much. It's better than the fluorescent nonsense that people around here put on sandwiches, though.
It rools for making vinaigrette. And is great on certain sandwiches.
In addition to a lazy Susan of condiments above the citrus crisper, I have a whole shelf of bitters in the door.
Heading to the fair today, so I'm picking Cruz and Cron.
May you get a blue ribbon in home run calling.
Heck, I'm just happy with a participation ribbon as long as the ball's flying out
I was supposed to be there today as well, but the vacation gods killed my food on a stick dreams.
Cruz/Sano
With so. many. frogs this year, I FINALLY saw my first couple skinks today, both small five-link skinks. Still amazed at not seeing any snakes in months, but I guess that's one contributor to the frog population.
Yankees only have 5 hits so far today, but of course 3 of them are home runs.
Six hits, four solo homers. Win 4-3
I'm so glad that's their last game this month. Hopefully, it will be one of those things where the calendar month changes and so do the results.
Twins also have taken over the MLB lead in runs scored. Came into today with a 2-run lead over the Yankees and have played 2 less games than them. Red Sox were 14 back of the Twins but have played one less game.
Twins only need 5 runs today to get to 800 runs. Only 7 other Twins teams have scored 800+ runs in a season. Twins record is 877. Franchise record is 892 by the 1930 Senators. Of course, that was in 154 games. Twins will have to score 939 runs to set the franchise record for most runs per game in a season. They're currently on pace for 961 runs.
Record for most runs scored in a season by any team is 1,067 by the '31 Yankees. Don't think we're getting there. Twins have an outside shot at 1,000 runs scored, though, with the schedule they've got remaining.
2002 HBH poll is up.
The Brusdar Graterol era begins in t-3 days and counting.
Sano and Cruz.

"Fewer" - Stannis Baratheon (and probably spookymilk)
Heh.
There was no recap today because I didn't have time. I have Arraez tonight.
Tyler Rogers in the game in SF, but because Reyes Moronta just blew out his elbow on a pitch. 😟
Oh, hell. He's a submariner!
