Dillon Thomas hit a three-run homer in the third and the Shuckers never looked back.  The Blue Wahoos got just two hits.  Alex Kirilloff was 1-for-4 with a home run.  Edwar Colina pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.  Stephen Gonsalves pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up three walks and striking out one.

Pensacola trails the best-of-five series 2-0.

CEDAR RAPIDS 2, QUAD CITIES 1 IN QUAD CITIES

Jared Akins' RBI double in the seventh broke a 1-1 tie.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.  Matt Canterino struck out eight in five innings, giving up one run on two hits and no walks.  Dylan Thomas struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  Rickey Ramirez struck out three in two perfect innings.

The best-of-three series is tied 1-1.
