Taking the kids to the dentist today.Β They're pretty good there.Β It's a shame so many people have negative or terrifying experiences with dentists (or doctors in general).

I plan on starting the draft on Wednesday. We have 14 people signed up so far. Any stragglers interested? Corn? Higs?
Heck yes- I'm in.
Thank you, but no.
Not home from conquering Prussia until the 4th. Did you mean this Wednesday or next?
This Wednesday but there's no clock
I always liked going to the dentist, mostly for the positive reinforcement.
I'm thankful that Runner daughter got my teeth and not Mrs. Runner's. My secret weapon later in life has been Plackers; they're a godsend when you have tight teeth.
I do sometimes wonder just how much difference is actually made by any of the hygiene rituals. AND/OR, whether my tendency of starting to brush and then being captivated by something for an extended period while my teeth soaked in fluoride is the actual secret to dental success.
Oh my goodness, yes. I'm pretty sure you had a toothbrush in your mouth for like, 80% of sophomore year.
Well, my dentist is my sister. Which explains the negative associations.
For her or you?
Vengeance!

Half-Baked Hall poll is up for Duke Snider and Billy Pierce
Pst, you had it close in January of 2019. I edited to 2020 and re-opened.
Thank you, sir.
To Mags: sorry to hear about Omar. Condolences.
What? Oh, man... π
Dido...
The other night we were surfing for something to watch and decided to try a couple episodes of Russian Doll on Netflix. We ended up watching the whole first season, it's kind of addicting. We also finished Watchmen last week. The last few episodes were chock full of the exposition you don't get in the first five, so that was pretty satisfying. This weekend we started season two of Lost in Space and I'm reserving judgement until we see more, but my initial reaction is that it's not quite on par with the first season yet. On Christmas day we went and saw Little Women. Having never read the book nor seen any of the previous film adaptations, I didn't have any expectations but goodness, it is one fine movie. I may have to read the book now just to judge the adaptation.
Yesterday, in between rounds of snow blowing / chopping ice, we started watching The Office again. Watched most of season 3. I forgot how funny those first few seasons were.
We batch-watched Russian Doll also. I like that several of the cast were also in multiple production rolls.
not my joke, but feel free to use it at midnight:

You want to be sedated?
"Nothing to do, no where to go" accurately sums up my plans for NYE.
me too, but thatβs particularly egregious in my situation.
