I took 3 overnight trips in the last week and a half. The wife is getting revenge by leaving for one long trip (and to a much nicer clime than I visited).
And that's what happened.
What was your favorite Maeda in a Twins uniform moment?
I wonder if the Dodgers would be interested in Rosario for Maeda.
I'm interested in this trade
It doesn't really matter, I suppose, but I'm annoyed that almost all the reporting on this is saying "The Twins backed out of the deal." The deal was made, and Boston tried to change it at the last minute. That's Boston backing out, not Minnesota.
Good point. I was mad at the Red Sox for the BS of saying it was Graterol's medicals, when it's pretty obvious they just wanted an excuse to back out because of the huge backlash of the trade. But the more I think of the Dodgers trying to trade Verdugo and Maeda for Betts and Price and bunch of cash, that's ridiculous. They basically are trading away guys that would be moved off the team by the new players anyways. They just upgraded for the cost of the difference in salaries and are getting paid to do it with the cash the Red Sox supposedly were throwing in.
I’m completely open to the Boston-Los Angeles component being a trade the Commissioner’s Office should have vetoed anyway out of the best interests of baseball. But the Maeda for Graterol portion of the swap seemed very fair.
Real question is what #RedSox want. #MNTwins could send Graterol and lesser prospect to #Dodgers, then LAD could flip Graterol and a better prospect to BOS. But some in talks sense that negative media reaction to Verdugo-Graterol return for Betts-Price gave BOS ownership pause.
Been off and on watching this XFL game and it's not terrible. Kind of like watching a mid teir Big 12 college football game
Big 12 college football game - you mean arena football?
This is the wall outside Wolves locker room that has blown up portraits of each player. After this week of trades, they just had to start al over. pic.twitter.com/vP7LbcdmQp
Relievers are just impossible. Last year we all had Treinen and Díaz. I'm pretty in on Pomeranz. He's either going to make me look wonderful or horrible. pic.twitter.com/sfW5rLaael
Latest on the Betts trade (1/2): per source, the Red Sox are focused on getting a deal done with the Dodgers above all else. The Twins appear to be out of the three-way deal, though a separate trade for Maeda remains in play.
I don't know why the Twitter link isn't working, but here is what it says:

(2/2) If the Sox and Dodgers can’t come to a deal, other teams - including the Padres - could jump back into the mix for Betts. No deal likely to happen before Sunday.
I removed the ?s=20 part at the end and now it works.
Delmon Young is playing for Melbourne in the Aussie League through 40 games he is slashing .345/.394/.662/1.056
He is 33 years old
Only.
Nobody doubts his talent
I'm more interested in how his _efense is faring.
Apparently last night was the last game of the season with Melbourne winning the ABLCS. Also on that team is former Twins great "Sugar" Shane Robinson and Former Twins Legend Luke Hughes
I'm not turning this game off until the clock hits zero.
This probably isn't a good team yet, but they are way not fun than they were four days ago and I really want to see them with Russell playing.
The ball movement without Teague or Wiggins is sooo much better.
I am excited to enjoy the first night of the Andrew Wiggins Experience, West Coast Edition.
Wiggins is putting up good numbers in a losing effort.
Aaand Wiggins with a terrible turnover down the stretch just as GS is making a game of it.
And misses a FT. JVG says "he's not a good ft shooter."
And that's what happened.

Ownership having second thoughts about how broke they are.
Graterol wasn't bad enough that the Red Sox didn't want him though, apparently - they wanted more. Of course they did.
Good job by the front office for saying no.
Glad they almost Maeda trade
Price was too high
The Red Sox Betts did not Graterol out how they hoped.
this thread:
Take it back.
No -- I'll allow it.

Russell out with a quad tonight.
Maybe they should stick to pictures of good players traded away from the team in the past.
They're gonna need a bigger wall.
What might have been...
Referring to relief pitchers.

Or passer. Or rebounder. Or defender.
But he's young!
Send him to Australia!
