Okay, I came across this picture, so let's do this again! What's your favorite hot dog, a thing that is definitely not a sandwich?

(*I did add a couple choices that I know may upset some if they weren't included. I did not add all the other choices that people will be upset aren't included.)
These practically all have mustard. Eww.
Right. And brat is not an option. Pass.
Agreed. Will take a brat over a hot dog. Every. Single. Time.
I don't even eat hot dogs anymore. The bologna of the tube steaks
apparently, the "Seattle" is, in fact, a brat. With fixins. Who knew?
(see picture down-thread)
Normally I will too. But grilled "Twins Dogs" last weekend. Surprisingly, they're a hundred times better when they're not sitting in warm water for hours.
I've never had one, but have heard enough about them to have considered choosing a Sonora.
I just had my first hot dog in 10 or more years last night. We have some friends camping in our yard on their way North last night and we grilled some up for their kids. It was a cheesey one from the local meat locker. I had one out of curiosity, and it was pretty good.
Now we're talking. Maybe not a brat, sure, but with a good bun these guys will totally stand on their own merits.
I absolutely insist that all music cues and SFX should be played in full and at full volume during games to empty stadiums.
I also insist Donaldson remain this big of a goofball.
The Twins signed Josh Donaldson? I missed that somehow.
dude, they have Nelson Cruz now, too!
I'm super curious if organist Sue Nelson is going to be playing at Target Field this year.
I doubt it, but she really should -- it would be a great addition to the games
Hopefully they cut all the awful ballpark filler crap entirely and just let Sue play all the incidentals.
Totally agree. That other noise just reminds me that the people running MLB don't actually like baseball.
I know Mark Cuban can be pretty grating, but at least he's a fan of basketball and pushes the game to be better for the fans and players. I don't feel like baseball has that owner.
Is it real if we can't hear Sergio Romo?
I hadn't thought about how silent fan-less baseball would be compared to soccer, which has more chatter between players. MLS is going with only the ambient sounds for TV, which I think comes across worse than the fake crowds being used for Premier League broadcasts.
The Athletic posted an article this morning saying MLB is going to provide teams with pre-recorded crowd noise, so it won't be quite as quiet as the scrimmage.
It's gonna be just like the radio broadcasts in Bull Durham!
I love this team.
That was the only at bat I watched live last night, so looks like I'm good luck!
I love that you can hear the "thunk" of the ball into the seats.
Beanie-weenies not listed?
Ooooh.

Guy from New Orleans leaves Minneapolis to start a new restaurant in St. Joe serving New Orleans style fare. I’d swing by for a bowl of gumbo if I were in the state.
Philosofette and I are going to have to head back to campus at some time in the near future.
I'm game...not that anybody else in my house would eat gumbo. Maybe the big kid.
I went for the Doyer because it resembles a Boomstick.
that link didn't illuminate me. So I went looking.
Appropriate lunch today: Hot dog with BBQ baked beans and Sriracha. Like a mix between beanie weenies and a chili dog.
Im a big fan of course ground hot dogs with natural casings, preferably made by one of the many meat lockers that dot the small towns in my area. But with covid I havent visited my favorite places in months (I literally havent left town since late February)
If the store doesnt carry course ground, then its Oscar Mayer all beef/angus dogs.
for the less edumacated, like me:
If you're still not enough educated (or not educated enough) there's a link to the full chart in the post text.
Somehow, that link wasn't obvious to me. I blame the heat.
Hot dogs are fine but I prefer a coarser, heftier sausage like Bratwurst, Italian or Polish. But they need to be simmered in beer and onion for before grilling to soften the casing.
I'm busy if anyone wants to put up a cup (and vid).
