i don't believe that the twins are ACTUALLY the worst team in baseball...but....what if they are?

At least the Twins are not going to be shutout
I keep thinking that the Twins can't possibly be this bad, that they're going to snap out of it and start playing better any time now, but they're sure not showing any signs of it.
Poor jump by Kepler on the Kemp flyball, but good recovery speed.
Sanó is beyond broken
The way he's going, the only thing that's going to keep him from breaking the strikeout record is that he probably won't play enough.
Delmonesque.
Sounds like the fans are playing better than the Twins are.
Apparently the Dodgers are signing Albert Pujols. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I hope it works out.
Twins approaching at bats like they're trying to get the season over as quickly as possible
In the few games I've been able to watch this season, one of the things that bothers me is that they never seem to make any adjustments at the plate. The same pitches that got them out in the first inning get them out in the third, in the fifth, in the seventh, and all through the game.
This, precisely. But I'd apply it to all facets of the game - pitch calling, bullpen decisions, etc.
To be fair, it's never easy to hit against a Jeremy
The first two batters got hits and nada since. Oof.
I don't want to alarm everyone, but a Twin starting pitcher might throw a pitch in the seventh inning
Not that it's likely to make any difference.
Berrios threw more pitches in the first inning than Jeremy Irwin has thrown the past three
Good news: Yusmiero Petit is historically awful in games with me in attendance.
Historically bad in your appearances versus a really bad team. Which one will lose.
This only ends one way (with a few baserunners but no damage because the Twins are allergic to success)
A nice 4.00 WHIP for the appearance
That was the 5th time I've seen Petit pitch in person. He managed to raise his ERA to 24.55 in those games.
Well, Arraez is probably as good as anybody to have up in this spot.
So much for that.
I realize there is a lefty ready in the bullpen, but why no Larnach?
Oh ok
SANO?? ????!!!!!!!
honestly did not see that coming
Who saw that coming
!!!!
Rogers not warning up (but he had been in the seventh)
OMG... that's the Undertaker's music!
Rogers warming up. Just in case.
Lovely. Scoring position with one out.
At least no inherited runners will score this inning!
W-- wait, no runs scored this inning!?
ALL THE PUPPIES, FIREWORKS, AND BEERS
Finally.
love it!
What just happened?!?!?!?
Yay!
When I left this game after seven, this was about the last thing I expected. Awesome!
I'm hoping that this will give them some momentum that will start them on a winning streak. I mean, I'm not a big believer in momentum, but hope is about all we have left at this point.
It has to because it's hard to be much worse. Even .450 baseball (73 win season) would be a huge improvement.
That's the line from "You Gotta Have Heart"--"we've gotta get better 'cause we can't get worse."
