I think sean or someone shared this last year. pretty cool
Good memory (but now almost two three years ago). I mentioned a video of olde timey San Francisco, and it was probably this video, but didn't link it. I must not have had the link readily available. Nonetheless, the version I watched would have been the original footage.
Now I'm going to wonder all day what was the name of California's Best Beer in 1906
The same guy did a restoration of this 1902 film of the German “Flying Train,” which looks like straight-up steampunk sci-fi:
I figured the train, the Wuppertal Schwebebahn, had to have been destroyed or dismantled by now. I was happily surprised to learn it not only survived, but carries 80,000 passengers per workday!
I remember driving from Cedar Rapids to Minneapolis after a real intense flare and you could see the aurora south of the state line. My Oklahoma relatives have even seen an aurora but they didn't know what it was, they thought it was a prairie fire.
Looks like Twins will have to call up LaMonte Aaron Wade Jr. Wait.. what?
There's no actual outfielder they could bring up? Why not Rooker? Why not Keon Broxton? Broxton can't hit, but neither can Refsnyder, and at least he's supposed to be good on defense.
I wondered the same thing. Broxton’s a proper center fielder; Refsnyder has fewer major league innings in center field than La Tortuga.
Handedness can’t be the answer, either. Both Broxton and Refsnyder bat right-handed.
Was wonder the same thing.
Ugh Chelsea lost to Leicester in FA Cup Final. I've been really invested in this Chelsea team and a that was a big disappointment.
But I'm not that broken up. Maybe it's age, maybe it's because Leicester is a cool team, but I really think it's because I'm a Minnesota men sports fan and I've had literally nearly 50 years of disappointed with with just a few highlights (Twins - 87, 91, Gopher puck in my teens and nearly 20 years ago). These teams can't break a heart that no longer beats.
Boo hoo, it's so tough to be a Chelsea supporter...
The Celtics are suiti6up like 8 players for this game and are blowing the Wolves out of Target Center
Missing roughly a million 3's will do that.
I have an interview at Target Field on Tuesday for that Twins usher job. Looking forward to it.
I guess f#€£*^& not. Guess whose kid tested positive?
Gonna be some tense days around here.
Sorry, brother. Sending the good vibes.
On the day he and daughter were eligible for a vaccine, too. Mom is taking this really hard.
He and all of you are in our prayers.
Well, sh!t. Best wishes for speedy recovery and no further spread.
Man, that's like falling down right before the finish line. Hope it turns out to be the mildest of cases.
Uffda. Wishing him a quick & total recovery with no lingering issues.
Oh man, sorry ZG.
Minor Details, covering the last two days of games, has now been posted.
A trip down Market Street, enhanced

100 years ago today -- yes, we should be concerned
I needed another thing to worry about, thanks.

Ouch — Jake Cave has a fractured back and is headed to the 60-day IL.

Oh my.
Twins and Loons win on the same day, is that allowed?
Too bad it wasn't a milestone post:
DreadPirate: I don’t want to alarm everyone, but a Twin starting pitcher might throw a pitch in the seventh inning
