Yesterday it felt like the verge of spring. Today, I wake up to 8 inches in my driveway. Still snowing and will continue to snow on and off for the next 24 hours. I really, really need to find a place in Arizona that I can stay for the months of January and February.
The best part of All Star weekend was Macy Gray's beautifully understated version of the Star Spangled Banner.
My wife had work in Spamtown on Friday, so I took a half-day and we all went down then continued on to Iowa to see grandparents.
While my wife was in her meeting, the girls and I went to the Hormel Nature Center. It was pretty nice. I'd really like to get back during some nicer weather and explore the grounds too.
While I'll never complain about my decision 18 months ago to pay off the Parent-Plus student loan for my two kids, I have to admit being able to deduct the interest on my taxes was a nice little boost to my returns that went away for 2021.
I've got one of those in COVID forbearance right now, it's set for payments to come due again in May. I'm not in a position to pay it off just yet, but I do think I'll make double payments when they start back up.
We set up a sub account in our saving account and are squirrling away a bunch of money to put a big lump sum down at the end of April (assuming the 0% doesn't get extended again)
