Two Saints homers lead the way.

The Saints scored two in the fourth to break a 3-3 tie.

Jose Miranda was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs.
Royce Lewis was 2-for-5 with a double, a stolen base (his second), and two runs.
Mark Contreras was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, a stolen base, a walk, and two runs.

Starter Daniel Gossett pitched 3.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk and striking out two.
J. C. Ramirez struck out three in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up three hits and a walk.
Juan Minaya struck out four in 2.1 perfect innings.

The Saints are 2-0, in first place in the International League West, a half game ahead of Omaha.

  1. Miranda played third in yesterday's and today's game. He played 53% of his innings in AAA at third and I wonder how much he will this year. Polanco is at second so Miranda could platoon with Kirilloff at first but having a proper position would be good and third is now open.
