Yesterday, the Twins and the Saints managed one (1) hit between them.

yes, but how many errors??
Kirilloff goes on the IL because his surgically repaired wrist still hasnt recovered and has been playing through pain the entire spring training season
not ideal
My question is: did he not tell the Twins about it, or did he tell them and they told him to play through it. If it's the former, it's on him. If it's the latter, it's on the Twins.
Well, the Twins deprived themselves of any opportunity to monitor recovery & discuss options with Kirilloff. He was left to recover on his own from a surgery for an injury known to be difficult to fix. By the time he showed up to lockout-abbreviated spring training , the die was cast. Playing through it may simply have been the only way to know if it was lingering effects of the surgery or indicative of an continuing problem.
It also could be scar tissue that you have to just work through.
The possible scenarios where the Wild miss the playoffs are almost completely gone.
Magic number is 5 points over Los Angeles and 6 points over Las Vegas. Only one of those needs to get to zero for the Wild to clinch and they have 10 games remaining.

Minnesota and St. Louis are almost surely playing each other in the first round. Minnesota is ahead in the standings based on fewer games played. The Wild and Blues play in St. Louis on Saturday night - winner will have the inside track on home ice in the first round.
If Minnesota scores a goal tonight, they will set a new franchise record for team goals scored in a season.
If Kirill Kaprizov scores a goal tonight, he will set a new franchise record for individual goals scored in a seaon.
If Mats Zuccarello gets an assist tonight, he will set a new franchise record for assists in a seaon.
Kaprizov is one assist behind Zuccarello, so if he gets two before Mats gets one, then Kaprizov will break the franchise single season assist record.
Every point Kaprizov scores extends his franchise record for points in a season (he needs 9 points in the last 10 games to get to a 100 point season).
The Wild have never had three 30-goal scorers in one season. Hartman (29) and Fiala (26) might join Kaprizov (42) before the end of the season.
If the Wild win 5 of their last 10, they will set a new franchise record for wins in a season.
Wild holds a distinct advantage over Blues in Local News Sportscaster Quality.
btw, did you know that Yadi is a sure-fire HOFer?

Fiala scores early. One record down.
Fiala again! Short-handed
Wow, Wild special teams must have heard the podcast
I went to a neighbor's house last night to watch the end of the Wolves game on his DVR. We also watched the TNT post-game.
One thing that really stuck out to me was that Ernie and Kenny didn't even offer anything. No one even mentioned, 'You do realize that might be the franchise's biggest victory in fifteen years..." or anything like that. I get that Chuck and Shaq are the kids sitting on the back row in class saying they don't need to pay attention to the teacher, but at least the other two can offer something. Otherwise, why are they there? It just seemed really lazy.
That's the only way they'd get me to drink that stuff.
Beauty wrister by Gaudreau to finish it in OT. Assist by Fleury.
Dallas dominated the action pretty much the whole game, but once they went 3 on 3, the Wild had a clear advantage. Beautiful pass by Fleury and a nice goal by Gaudreau. That win feels a little like stealing. I'll take it.
Also, I was at the game on Tuesday night and I saw the scuffle, but I did not see the bird being flashed.
that's because the ref immediately pulled his hand down and chastised him for it. can't let the big, fighting hockey men flip each other the bird. kids are watching!
That entire sequence was awesome. Fleury exits the crease and banks a stretch pass avoiding the forecheck. Gaudreau enters the zone, fakes a shot, which allows him to split the two defenders and he buries a wrister inside the far post while skating through the slot. It was a beauty!

That was just the first of his atrocities.
Whoops, that was the one I meant to post. Got it confused with the other BS fine. Yeesh.
