Michael Pineda
vs
Joe Ryan
Big Mike comes to town as a Tiger now. His first start was last week against the Yankees and went well. Any wins against the Yankees are good wins.
Meanwhile this is Joe Ryan's fourth start and he's been getting better for each one. He hasn't pitched in the seventh yet so I'm hoping his pitch count is now high enough to get more than 18 outs.
Luis singles. *drink, pass out*
MAX to left field!
Max power!
Guys, I think Max is back
Max's 123rd career HR. 7th hit to L or LC field
Correa can't hit the broad side of a barn right now but his defense is as advertised
Ryan dealing, so that's cool.
When will it be not to early to hope that Ryan will be remotely as good over the next few years as he has been showing us.
MAXX
Maxed Power!
Deja vu
Kepler getting going is also pretty cool.
Khonsho Ryan wreaking vengeance upon the opposing batters
I keep waiting for batters to figure out his fastball but it hasn't happened yet.
Jeffers!!!!
Bomba revival time
Luis singles *dri...dang, back to the fridge*
Yay a starter getting outs in the seventh.
standing ovation for Joe Ryan
Strike 3 on that 9th K was a bit of a gift.
Jeffers framed that pretty good
Pretty impressing outing by Ryan. Missed the last couple innings showing the Poissonnière an abridged version of this staging of Swan Lake. She’s learning the leitmotif for piano this week.
Hoping this is a sign of things coming together for Larnach.
Those were all strikes there Byron
Some dominant pitching for the Twins today. Only a single hit and a single walk with nine strikeouts through eight innings.
4-8 is starting to feel like a long time ago.
2 hours, 23 minutes.
It helps a starting pitcher gives up 2 base runner and sprinkles in a few 3 ball counts
but I have notice Twins games have had a quicker pace this year, and they use the pitcher-catcher electronics. I wonder if other teams that use that are playing quicker games
We're still on track for 154-8!
