2022 Game 18: Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins

Michael Pineda
vs
Joe Ryan

Big Mike comes to town as a Tiger now. His first start was last week against the Yankees and went well. Any wins against the Yankees are good wins.

Meanwhile this is Joe Ryan's fourth start and he's been getting better for each one. He hasn't pitched in the seventh yet so I'm hoping his pitch count is now high enough to get more than 18 outs.

    1. When will it be not to early to hope that Ryan will be remotely as good over the next few years as he has been showing us.

  1. Some dominant pitching for the Twins today. Only a single hit and a single walk with nine strikeouts through eight innings.

    1. It helps a starting pitcher gives up 2 base runner and sprinkles in a few 3 ball counts

but I have notice Twins games have had a quicker pace this year, and they use the pitcher-catcher electronics. I wonder if other teams that use that are playing quicker games
