A question for the Wordlers. You're completely not expecting it, but you guess and 4 out of a consecutive 5 tiles turn green. Is it more frustrating to have the black tile at the beginning or the end? See, just missing that last square is sure annoying because you were that close. However, I feel when the first tile is black and the rest turn green, at first you're like, huh, well that was unexpected, but okay! Then it starts to eat at you a bit because you could have had it. Greens then black is a more immediate pain, but black then greens simmers, I feel.
Which is more annoying?

At the National Junior High Finals Rodeo, my great-nephew finished third in bareback riding, twelfth in bull riding, and tenth in all-around. We are very proud of him.
That's fantastic! Congrats to him
I think having the first letter unknown is worse. I feel like there are a lot more situations (and this is gut-feeling, not empirically based) where the first letter can have a lot more options to make a word with the last 4 than the other way around.
Like, if you had
_ight
, then it could be fight, light, might, night, right, or sight. Assuming you've eliminated what you can and are down to guesses, you might run out of turns. But if you have the reverse - figh_, ligh_, migh_, nigh_, righ_, sigh_ - then you've really only got one more option it could be.
And I'm 100% sure someone much more clever than me can produce a four letter start that would be just as trecherous as __ight.
And then as you said, there's the emotional "Dang, oh snap they're all green now! Hell yeah that went better than I thought" vs. "go go go go go go go go go GO GO GO GO, FUUUUUUU"
Is it worse to give up a hit in the first inning or the 9th inning of a one-hitter?
That said, I'd rather have some more black/yellow if I'm not going to get it first round; there's something to be said for eliminating letters.
4 out of 5 is also a goal the Twins should have against Cleveland
This is a gorgeous jersey, but I'm not sure $10 off of $150 (~6%) really qualifies as "on sale" except on a technicality
With shipping, it's $165 NZD*, or roughly $105 USD, which is far too rich for my blood anyway.
*Plus who knows what sort of fees/import taxes CBP might slap on that I wouldn't know about until it's being held at the border and would have to pay out of pocket on top of.
I can leave the country again! Noticed the ol' passport was a bit expired, not that I have anywhere to go. At least I know I can now.
I have my Global Entry interview in a couple weeks, which will expedite things quite a bit on some of our future trips
If we go through with this much-ballyhoo'd Spain move, we'll probably get Global Entry.
I just got back into the country (took the kids to Cancun) and I am never leaving again. it took us 12 hours to get home from the time we left the resort. Over an hour in customs at O'Hare. Barf.
Global Entry!!
