  1. I have moved 4 times since the last time the Seattle Mariners were in the post season

      1. All the into-out of dorms, then my apartment after college, Dublin (2 flats), Des Moines, Prague (3 flats), Iowa, Buffalo, DC(ish), Austin (2 apartments), St. Paul, current home.

  2. This twitter thread is worth reading. What a wild ride

      1. I bet what really happened is that the guy is a baseball writer and Chase here told him Barry Bonds holds the HR record.

  3. Bundy seems to take a lot of criticism, but really, his numbers this year are pretty much in line with his career numbers:

    Career: 4.75 ERA, 4.68 FIP, 1.31 WHIP,
    2022: 4.93 ERA, 4.67 FIP, 1.29 WHIP.

If people think he's a disappointment, it may be their expectations that were out of line. Bundy is doing almost exactly what he should've been expected to do.

    1. The run scoring environment is lower this year so matching his career numbers is worse than his career norms. Looking at adjusted stats, his career FIP- is 106 and his career ERA- is 110. This year however is worse at 120 and 128 respectively. However, that is slightly better than what he did last year plus in more innings. His salary this year is $4 million so he wasn't expected to do much. fWAR has him being worth that.

    1. Dazzle just said Arraez was limping going into second. Did something happen tonight, or just a continuation of the injury he's been battling?

  4. Not sure why Dazzle is trying so hard to defend Gary Sanchez. Cory is right--he's been a disappointment offensively. Other than the short 2020 season, this is the worst year of his career. And given that he's not a particularly good defensive player, that's a problem.

    1. In the season of OOTP Go I’m playing, Jim Pohlad assigned me two goals: improving my team’s catching and resigning Gary Sánchez. I’ve decided to see if Sánchez gets off to a slow start, try to sign him to a short extension, and then trade him. Unfortunately, his popularity rating is “Extremely Popular.” I should probably just cut my losses and start over.
