1. It was fifteen years ago today that the great Mark’s Towing incident occurred.

      1. Time flies. I can't be certain (is any of the old site on internet archive?), but I'm pretty sure that my first interactions with SBG on this site were more than 20 years ago now. I'm glad I decided to argue with him about some minor point all those years ago.

      1. I can assure you that it was on my birthday. The question is what year. I knew I was living in my current house so 2008 was the earliest possible year. I also remember the car, which was totaled in summer 2008. So, January 17, 2008 was the day.

         1. I missed the original intent of the question, which I thought was about when Mark's Towing happened but I now realize it was the start date of the original site, which, as I documented below, was July 17, 2004.

      2. I know that I started the original site in July 17, 2004, so not quite 20 years ago.
