  1. I went out to blow snow yesterday and the snowblower wouldn't budge, no power to the wheels. I was thinking a belt had slipped but this blower uses a rubber-edged pressure disk to engage the wheels. All it needed was a clutch cable adjustment and we were off to the races. I got my driveway and walk cleared and noticed that the neighbor across the street was trying to dig her way out with a flimsy plastic shovel. The snow that the plow dumped at the end of our driveways was like hardened concrete, I had to use a shovel to break it into chucks small enough for the snowblower to ingest it, so there's no way she was going to move it all without help. So I went over and cleared her driveway, then cleaned out our mailbox and the next door neighbors' mailbox. The deck I have not touched, it has southern exposure and it's way past time for the sun to get off its lazy ass and do some snow removal work of its own.

  2. I wasn’t aware of this until it was already in progress. Neighbors had to get to the airport yesterday morning but only drive 2-wheel drive cars and the plow hadn’t arrived in our cul de sac neighborhood yet. They piled everything onto an ice fishing sled and hauled it the 1/3 mile to County Rd. E. where one of their adult children was waiting to give them a ride.
As they were loading, the guy we contract with for snow removal arrived to open the road …

  3. Why hello there, first game I can watch live this season.

Naturally I’ve got a podcast in the middle of it. I look forward to saying Byron Buxton’s name when I’m trying to name a pro wrestler.

  4. Today is the day that I discovered I'm paying for the Bally Sports app and can't watch the Twins on it. WTF!

  5. It's nice to see that female officials can ruin basketball as well as male officials.

  6. This just in: Somebody we know is planning on retiring on 4/14. That's 9 working days from today (72 hours).
