Time for my semi-annual, why does MLB hate money and schedule the Brewers for a two-game mid-week series when a weekend series would guarantee near capacity crowds screed. Whew, I feel better already.
Brewers season similar to Twins in that they play in a crappy division yet only find themselves 2 games over .500. They are especially feeling a little down after being swept by the lowly A's this past weekend. Corbin Burnes on the mound for the Brewers. He's considered their ace I guess but has been pretty humdrum in 2023. His one strikeout per inning may cause issues for the strikeout prone Twins however.
Pablo Lopez up for the Twins and we all would like to see the April version of Lopez, not the May version, especially given that Louis Arraez is still tearing it up it in the National League. Lopez pitched really well against the Rays last week in a losing effort. Hopefully he can continue to pitch like that and the Twins bats can come alive.
Looks like a gorgeous night for some baseball. First pitch at 6:40p.
home plate ump has a curious strike zone
"ball 4" comes around to score a run
Robot umps now
nice bounceback inning for the home squad
Not exactly a De Leòn fan
Kepler PH’ing for Lewis omg.
Is a puzzlement.
Max should have had a BB two pitches earlier
Hey, Rocco won a challenge!
Surprised they overturned that, actually.
Woof. Right down the middle.
Ho ho Castro
Is that stolen base streak still alive?
Noice!

Ho ho Correa
bjhess FTW 😀
You may have seen me on TV at the end there. My neighbor kid got Correa’s gloves. Wild awesome.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was working 125ish and when I heard the crack of the bat I ran down several steps trying to see it go out but that ball was in a real hurry, it must have hit off the upper deck facing because it saw it rebound right back into left field and that was that. What a great finish. There was a lot of cool energy in the ballpark tonight, people were really into it.
Hot damn
Another QS that doesn't get a W
All you can really say about Carlos Correa is that he isn't very clutch.
Isn't it just funny that, as a fanbase, Twins fans criticize management for not spending money on big contracts. Whenever they do spend the money, our fanbase expects big contract players to produce in every single key situation or they are a bust. Mauer, Cousins, and Correa are the most obvious situations I am referring to. I get the general angst of all of our Minnesota fan bases, as it has been far too long, but some of the criticism is just tiresome.
That is a lot of fan bases, though not all. Yankee fans hated Giambi until that stupid game we all watched.
That was a fun one.
This was fun to see
Provus almost got into the Harry Doyle double fist pump 😆
