Minor Details: Games of September 8

SAINTS 7, BATS 6 IN LOUISVILLE

St. Paul led 7-2 after three.  Louisville scored four in the fourth, and it stayed 7-6 the rest of the way.

Michael Helman was 3-for-5.
Tony Wolters was 2-for-4 with a home run (his third) and four RBIs.
Anthony Prato was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.

Randy Dobnak pitched five innings, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks and striking out six.
Austin Schulfer struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.
Cole Sands pitched two shutout innings, walking one and striking out one.

HOOKS 8, WIND SURGE 2 IN CORPUS CHRISTI

Will Wagner hit a two-run homer to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth.  A three-run eighth made it 8-1.

Alex Isola was 2-for-2 with a double.
Dalton Shuffield
was 2-for-4.
Tanner Schobel was 2-for-4.

Marco Raya pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out three.

TIMBER RATTLERS 2, KERNELS 1 IN WISCONSIN

Eric Brown, Jr. singled home the tying run in the ninth and a balk brought home the deciding run.

Cedar Rapids had three hits, all singles.

Zebby Matthews struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.
Mike Paredes pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out one.
Gabriel Yanez struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.

MIGHTY MUSSELS 7, MARAUDERS 5 IN FORT MYERS

Fort Myers scored four in the fourth and three in the fifth to take a 7-0 lead.  Bradenton scored all their runs in the eighth.

Rubel Cespedes was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.
Nate Baez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Matt Gabbert struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks.
